Thanks

I think he's the total package: charisma, hip image with the dreads, nice teeth (hey it's important to me!), good role model, and a smooth singer.

I think that, unfortunately, a lot of white America sees the dreadlocks and develops a certain dislike for the person, which hinders the ability to judge objectively. IF he had a different hairstyle, he would be much better received by mainstream America. You can disagree all you want, but I see it allllll the time.
Take your Bo. I'll take Anwar.
I am sorry, but I find this whole statement pretty offensive. If I don't like someone's singing, it has NOTHING to do with the skin color or the hairstyle. I personally don't like Anwar's voice and if I had never seen him and had only heard his voice on the radio I still wouldn't like him. My favorite is Scott and I guess you could say that people have been judging him based on the way he looks too. They judge his looks far more than they do Anwar from what I have read on this thread. Nobody seems to think anything bad about Anwar other than the few of us who don't like his voice. But tons of people have said they wouldn't vote for Scott b/c he reminds them of a serial killer. And most of those same people that have said that about Scott are white just like him. And just for the record if I did go by looks I would never have voted for Clay, but man that boy can sing and won me over and my vote. So I think your theory is flawed at best.princesspumpkin said:I think that, unfortunately, a lot of white America sees the dreadlocks and develops a certain dislike for the person, which hinders the ability to judge objectively.
