APs are cheaper and have the same pre-registration date, I think.

I am trying to figure out if I keep my AP to register for events early, or if I register for events because I have an AP.

Cheaper in year 1, But remember you get to use it for 25+ years, plus every couple of years you can stay on the points or even better rent the points out.

Couldn't get number to work and it dropped my registration info and I had to start again…no discount for me.

Based on the last couple of signups I've done for RunDisney Events. I've got a new strategy.

Register at full price, and with what ever the "No proof of time required" is. Then fix it once I get the confirmation number.

Update. It will be me and sister #3 for GSC. For the PHM it will be me, DD, my three sisters and my niece. Six of us. Now where to stay? And when will everyone fly in. Three of us will probably to Tuesday to Tuesday. Flying in is cheaper on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nope it didn't this year fueling speculation on a Frozen Tie-in.

Either that, or they forgot it, or active.com couldn't handle one more random question.

No worries, you didn't miss anything. While on the phone with rD for a name change issue, I tried to ask about the Frozen theme and dig for info on this but to no avail. Wonder what they have up their sleeves...

Yeah, I know, I was just being funny. For those who aren't financially at that place where they can go DVC and want access to early registration, an AP is a decent way to get into races earlier.

We are actually looking into DVC membership at this point because of how many times I'm there each year for races and vacations. For rooms alone for four trips in 2014, I've easily spent a solid 20% down payment. I won't go into how the initial cost could be paid in full considering all our trips since 2010. Live and learn.

GSC sold out. Actually took longer than I thought it might. Maybe it was all the problems.

Whew! 1 hour and 45 minutes later I got my friend and I registered for the Half and the 5K. The GSC will just have to wait till 2016, which is probably for the best.

They don't show until a race hits 50% full. So, surprisingly, the 5K is still under 50%! With GSC sold out, and the 10K not far behind, the 5K may pick up steam...

It doesn't show it until it hits 50% I believe. I'm shocked it hasn't yet. Although I think a fairly small circle of people are aware yet of the frozen tie in. As soon as runDisney tweets it or posts it to Facebook themselves, then it will probably go fast. Personally I don't believe it for certain until I see it from them.

Also, I think some people prioritize what they expect to sell first, and the 5k would be after the challenge and the 10k for many people.

It really is hard to tell how fast things are selling due to the active glitch. Everyone in my camp is excited, especially since there are six of us. My DD tried to register at open, had a meeting, and tried again with success.

But we did it! My friend is in for the GSC and I got in for the 5k and 10 k!!!


Now we all get to relax and start TRAINING!!!!!!
