Okay, question time: In the flurry of the registration fiasco, my sister-in-law's name shows up in place of my daughter's despite inputting my daughter's name in the proper field (this is for the 200m dash). Is this something I change with rD or with Active?

Jeez, that was a lot of effort! I didn't have these problems signing up for runDisney before!
Anyway, I'm in the the GSC. Now I need to go through all of that again for the 5K!

This is insane! I have tried since 12:02 and just now got registration settled for my cousin and I to do the 5k! And now I must register for the half...wish me luck!

Also, I am late to this thread...any info on Disney visa discounts? The first 4 didn't work for the 5k's...

No word on the Visa, infact I've not seen if there is such a thing. But I would say register, then use the RunDisney Help link to request a correction. The DVC code wasn't working for pre-reg, and people just sent them a request and they corrected it.

^^^ That was the link I used. I opened two of them and refreshed the crud out of them and used the one that responded best.

I got my sister and myself registered! It only took me an hour and 15 minutes. :eyeroll: and for all that effort active.com got $22 of my money for registration fees! Feel like they should be paying me!

I see on the rD website the GSC is showing 70% full!

What a MESS!!!!! I'm sorry for all who are struggling with registration. Hopefully all are getting through now.

Last I saw GSC was at 90%, so it's going, going, gone soon!
Half is a shocking 50% already.
10K 50%
Most surprisingly, no percentage yet for the 5K!

I am just happy to have registered. SHEESH. 2 5k's and 1 half - my very first half! And thanks for this thread! I am going to now start from the beginning!

Poor, Poor, standards…these are problems that can be avoided with proper bandwidth, etc..

Took an hour and 6 minutes to register for half. Worst experience ever…I have emailed Active and runDisney. Known problem should have been addressed before today. Multiple pages failed or I got an internal error message, even on payment page so no way to know if I got register…until emails come in. To fill in info and then lose it time and time again…even with wait pages so that only so many can get through…didn't help.

My email said if info was incorrect I would hope they would allow me to correct it…as I got blurry eyed going throughout the info so many times.

Sorry to those still trying to get through…hope you get the races you want.

Makes me wonder how many people think about a 25 pt DVC contract just to be in the pre-regular crowd.

APs are cheaper and have the same pre-registration date, I think.

I am trying to figure out if I keep my AP to register for events early, or if I register for events because I have an AP.

70 minutes later, my bf and I are both registered for the 5K, and I'm in for the half.

I'm shocked the GSC is nearly sold out! I thought it sold out so quickly last year (within 3 hours) because it was so new, but it seems it's still as popular as ever.

Now if only the 2015 package rates would be released so I can start budgeting for that...

Thanks! I just tried calling and thankfully the wait was very brief. Names are now changed. I could hear phones ringing off the hook in the background. Can't imagine being an rD employee manning phones right now.

Couldn't get number to work and it dropped my registration info and I had to start again…no discount for me.

I'm glad I found the page today! I had looked for it before and didn't see it. I just signed up my SIL and I for the GSC. It took me an hour. So frustrating but glad we got in!
