Official all things Princess Half Weekend 2015 thread! DOoneY and offical mErcH on DisneyParksBLOg

The answer to that depends on what you do Friday - you'd probably be tired if you spend the whole day in parks and get to bed late. But if you take it easy and get to bed early, it shouldn't be a problem at all, and will make for an early start to your day on Sat! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Welcome back to the fold. ;)

Goodness, V!! First the 10K, now the 5K!! I'm sooo looking forward to training in the Florida heat. Are we suckers??? You bet, sister!!!

Well, hey stranger!! How 'bout those loser Miami Heat crybabies?!!

Well, I succumbed to my addiction and just signed up for the 5K, too. Please RunD, take all my $$$!!! Lol

I should have had you come to San Antonio for the 1st game as we were there when LeBron cramped up...and cried !

So proud you and the others here are doing the multiple races again....

Highly doubtful DH and I will do princess 2015 due to other plans but do plan on doing PHM again since we find training in Texas winter weather much, much, easier than training for the DL half in the summer heat !

Best of luck to everyone..veterans and newbies ! If anyone is wavering on doing the race.....just do it even if you have to walk ! Nothing like that exhilarating feeling of crossing the finish line and getting that medal !:cool1:

Just tried to visit the runDisney website to look up some info and it appears to be down. Hope this isn't a preview of things to come tomorrow...

The Frozen frenzy is going to sell out that 5K fast yall!

Anyone want to talk their first runDisney race to pass the time? I posted a bit about mine on my blog (there's a fun giveaway too if you are interested) but it was the PHM 5K in 2011.

I ran (ha ha) into a few DisBoarders that morning! Small world, right? It sucked me into runDisney and even with the growth and pains that I have with the races, they are still my favorite places to run.

Go get your tiaras, ladies and gents! See yall at the races! http://noguiltlife.com/2014/07/princess-half-palooza-giveaway.html

So, will the Frozen theme bleed over into the half marathon at all?? My niece has decided to run with me, and I know she'd love to meet Anna and Elsa :goodvibes

I, unfortunately, can't get down to Florida for the 5K, so I'm hoping I can get her some pixie dust in the half.

So I just bit and registered for the 5k (annual pass holder).. Now I'm doing all three.. Call me crazy :)

ACK now I want to run the 5K! But I really kinda don't bc I just wanted this weekend to be about my first half marathon ever! Decisions... Decisions... How many total participants usually do the 5K?

if you do the 5k and the 1/2 you'll have a day to recover. and it shouldn't cause a problem with your 1/2. ALSO the 5k (I've only done one, so I don't know they are always this way) but the 5k seems to be more walking between meet and greets than about the running. Honestly I think you can take like an hour on course (even though it's 15 minute miles so everyone should be done in 45ish minutes.)

Since I'll be out of the house, my husband is going to sign us up tomorrow. The two of us for the 1/2 and both of the kids for a dash. What information does he need to have? I would imagine shirt sizes and estimated finish time, but is there anything else?

I would guess that Anna and Elsa will just be on the stage or worked in like Elsa was in the 10K this year. It would cause a terrible traffic jam if there was a meet and greet!

Looks like I'm in again for 2015! I ran the PHM last February as my first RD race. Although it was a great accomplishment for me, I did it alone and was a little sad that I didn't have company. I figured that it was a bucket list item for me and that I wouldn't be back.....

(what do they say about famous last words?)

Then my little sister informed me that she wanted to do it with me this time! So, we are registering tomorrow and I'm taking her down for a long weekend to celebrate her college graduation. :goodvibes I'm super excited to spend the weekend with my baby sister, but I'm back to the drawing board on training because I stopped running any real distance after the Half in February because of horrible shin splints...fingers crossed for less pain this go around! :faint:

Looking forward to reading about everyone's journeys again this season! :)

I'm with you on starting from scratch! I got sick almost immediately after I got home and only got well enough to run abut 6 weeks ago! We'll make it happen!

Yeah, didn't think of that! Too many people on the sweeper buses....;)

Is there a disney visa discount code?

Someone posted earlier that it's either the first 4 or last 4 digits of your credit card number (just try both). I have no idea though - it didn't work for early registration. Good luck! :thumbsup2
