"Official" 2025 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

The blog post does say that the holiday season will kick off on November 14, so I'm assuming that's the first date of the first Christmas Party?

Does this seem really late to anyone else? I was thinking the first party nights would be the weekend before-around the 7th. And holidays around the world doesn’t start till Thanksgiving??

We are booked at FQ the 13-16 in anticipation of it being the second weekend of parties. Looks like we will be going opening night with all the vloggers 😳

That does seem about a week later than past years. If they don't have decorations and the tree up in MK, I don't think they will have parties until Nov. 14th??

I guess until they fully announce the dates, we'll just have to wait popcorn::

It's late for the parties, but not for the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. That always starts after Thanksgiving (Food & Wine goes to 11/22).

For MVMCP, it would be later than last year (the first party was 11/8). Then again, MNSSHP is also starting later this year

We want to do both parties but need refundable tickets for health reasons.
Does anyone remember if you can get holiday tickets on UT the same day they go on sale on the WDW website?
Thanks!

I think this will be the first year we actually go to a party, I feel our kids are old enough (5 & almost 7) where they will be okay staying up most of the time. We go for a week and thinking we do 3 day park hoppers plus the Christmas Party, we have a split stay so hoping two water park days, complete rest day, and the 3 days + Christmas party.

Has anyone ever been to the first party? Do the vloggers make it miserable? Also I like vloggers, I watch a few of them regularly! I just want to be able to enjoy the night if that makes sense.

My view is that if you want to do rides, the first night is a good time to go because Disney influencers are there to do party specific things (food, shows, meet and greets, etc.)-- but if you don't care about rides, it's probably going to be more congested with people focused on all the party things than your average party?

Keep in mind the first party is also generally priced higher.

We try to avoid the first night because I actually want to get some information about the new party options before going.

Great points. We are not much on the food because of my daughter’s tree but allergy, big in rides and meet n greets. Might be good to move back a weekend so we know who is meeting where. This is why I buy airfare that allows me to move flights!

Hello! We’re planning on surprising my parents with party tickets. When we purchase them do we have to assign them to people? We were hoping to wait until closer to the trip.

You do have to assign the ticket to someone. You can just put their names on the tickets and link to their My Disney Experience accounts later. The tickets will remain under your account, but with their names listed as the ticket holders.

If they already have MDE accounts and they are linked with you and you do not want them to see the tickets, you will have to not choose them from the drop down when you purchase the tickets. Instead add them and type in their names. The tickets can be merged with their accounts later on. Disney can do this for you.

Parties do sell out, but typically not closer to the party dates (unless you want to go to the first or the last party...then I'd get those tix as soon as you can after they go on sale, just to be safe).

I was putting my dishes away last night and sadly dropped my cute Ollie mug from Jollywood Nights last year :sad::sad:

I turned and said to my DD, "you know what this means, don't you? We have to go back to Jollywood Nights this year! Hah! We were already planning on MVMCP but were on the fence about JN but now we have to go, right? Disney logic!

Absolutely! I really enjoyed JN last year. It wasn't as good as MVMCP, but we did a short party only getaway and did both JN and MVMCP and really had a great time.

We have gone for the past two years and we weren't crazy about JN. Some of our thoughts might have been tainted by the $60 (for two) mint hot chocolates we got at HBD Lounge that tasted like toothpaste! We had already decided not to go back this year but I think we'll give it another shot, especially since I need a new mug! It seems the people who loved it concentrated on the rides more than we did so maybe we will kind of use it as an AH.

We absolutely love MVMCP though and wouldn't think of skipping it!

Ouch! That's expensive toothpaste! haha
We did concentrate more on rides, but watched the projection show on the theater, the Nightmare Before Christmas show, ate at HBD and just enjoyed general holiday decor with the special music and vibes from the party zones.

Sounds perfect! I think we'll skip the NBC show since we've been the last two years and use that time for more rides. We did love the show hosted by Kermit so I hope that's back this year. And honestly, I really do love the DHS Christmas decorations...just being there with the park lit up makes me happy :goodvibes
