Official 2024 Universal Studios HHN 33 Thread

Just struck me interesting, same ballpark I paid at RP for HHN not that long ago lol
Yeah those days of RPR for 189 are gone forever Id say. Also getting a free upgrade to a King Suite for status.

I assume it will only go up from here with Epic - main reason I started staying at Dockside.

Wanted to bring this link over as it details Universal's "severe weather policies":

"In the event that a hurricane or tropical storm warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center or a state of emergency is declared for the Orlando area or in your place of residence, within seven days of your arrival, you can contact our team in advance to reschedule or cancel your Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations Package, hotel room only accommodations and Universal Orlando theme park tickets booked directly with Universal Orlando, without any cancellation or change fees imposed."

We postponed our U portion of trip that was to have started tomorrow.

Do hope no issue using our tix on the new nights. Really had to scramble to find any sort of replacement for onsite accommodations. scariest thing ever...Rack rate only :badpc:
Keishashadow: I hope things work out for you, even though you had to cancel Universal. Keep safe and let us know how you are doing.

Does anyone have that breakdown of what times the zones/houses actually open? One was posted last year & it was super helpful for planning. Thanks!

I'll try to find it. But if you're doing stay and scream usually Ghostbusters and insidious is 530ish.. I think major sweets was 545.

Forget back houses. Prob similar

Hey I did want to add our experience last night related to if express could be used during stay and scream , and yea, must certainly . We were in the New York line that split into insidious and ghostbusters, and when we got to the point where you choose which house, we did insidious, and right at that point was express vs standby. We chose express . By 5:30ish we are out, and in a ghostbusters express line, finished 3 houses w express by about 6:10. We were flying through them.

Rix Flix was at the parks yesterday morning and pretty much everything was taken down in preparation for the storm - a few hours before they officially announced it. Got to imagine that will be a lot of work to put back up for Friday assuming things don't get too bad in Orlando.

Got to be a crazy amount of work for all those team members

Yesterday, early in the AM put a return call request into U for after 1pm today. They were prompt.

Was able to swap out Friday 10/11 for next Friday. The tix we have for 9th & 10th can be used for our other evenings.

Happy with their response

glad to hear it worked out as well as it can - I've always had very good luck with Universal customer service

Hi! We have AP so can be in park before HHN. We’d like to eat before. Having trouble confirming what food places stay open? Does anyone know what time today cafe or Leaky Cauldron close? I saw months ago the latest Finnigans was 2:00.

If you look at the app, it has the restaurant hours. Since today is HHN, Today Cafe is open until park closing, 2am. Leaky Cauldron is open until midnight, since it's HHN.

I see they replaced the Slimer SA in Ghost Busters with a stationary Slimer...anyone been through yet and seen that?
Hopefully the SA is OK - seems like it changed just after Milton.

This is one where the SA was not there many times so maybe it makes sense - or maybe they switch out the SA and the stationary.
Too bad as it was pretty cool.

The more I see the more I am glad I went in September.

That stationary Slimer was there back in September when I went through.

Weird - when I was there it was a person in a black clothes with slimer over the head and upper body so it could get in your face - at least when they were there. Many times there was nothing their at all.

Just did a search and see it was replaced around September 21st - just after I left

Apologies if this is not the right place to ask:

From UK and will have 14 day Universal tickets plus HHN tickets. Would you avoid Universal Studios during the day before HHN and visit IOA, or avoid both parks pre HNN?
TIA

IOA is probably busier since there are people who will have tickets for 1 park per day and don't want to waste it on US when it closes early.

Around 3PM people will start to get into the waiting areas for the houses, but they are there for HHN so does not really affect US IMO. Its possible there may be some folks doing stay and scream that come in at three and want to do rides - but I think for the most part stay and scream folks get into the holding areas.

Regardless its not busy enough for you to avoid one or the other - personally I usually go back and forth between the parks several times a day. On a Saturday (maybe even a Friday) it might be a bit busier - but again nothing crazy.
