first weekend in dec must be whoopi's standard time because she is who I saw 2 years ago that same weekend. Would love to see Brandon, but will be at Jollywood

I really need to convince my coaster hating 12 year old who will be with me to ride it. If she doesn't she'll have to sit outside and wait on mama lol.
That's about the age my daughter was when she first started occasionally sitting rides out. I was super nervous at first, but she did fine and we set wider and wider parameters. She was super mature and knew the parks well. First step was sit here and do NOT move unless it's an actual emergency; do not talk to anyone except CMs. Then after some time, instructions became sit here or in that store only.
But maybe she'll ride some with you!

The thing is she's ridden coasters before and hated them (Space Mountain which was a mistake at the time and Slinky Dog). That was a few years ago though. She is mature enough to stay put if needed and she also knows the parks pretty well because she's been multiple times.

Give us the specialty food menus please!!! 😂

I'm seeing peppermint, gingerbread, and chocolate in our futures...

We will be 4 adults and having late lunch at WCC before. We’re super interested in the holiday stuff, riding rides and food! Not doing any character meet & greets.

We decided to have a sit down breakfast (Boma) the day of the party, then a small lunch at Disney Springs (shopping) and then eat at party! I will probably get the cheeseburger eggroll or corn dog nuggets to split with someone when we get there around 4, then some specialty party food.

Same deal for Jollywood Nights day - but breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno.
Some of us are staying a day longer and have booked Boma for breakfast on our “involuntary bonus day”. I say involuntary because the airline switched our return date. Lemons into lemonade, right? Anyway, I had never thought about going there on our MVMCP day. I think I will bring this up and see if the others in our travelling party might be interested in doing this as our main meal. We just plan to snack through the party.

Me and DH! We are doing our first trip without kids since they were born-now both in college! We will be doing rides snd holiday stuff. Especially looking foward to the parade. Haven’t done the party in years. We don’t have park tickets snd have an ADR at Steakhouse71 at 1:15 so we can be lined up around 3.

We may get a 1 day ticket for Epcot, but otherwise just planning on relaxing and doing some resort hopping to see the decorations.

I’ll be there 12/10! No characters for me either. I want to see parade, shows, fireworks, rides and of course treats!

Oh! we’re doing Jollywood on the 11th also!
What are you looking forward to at MVMCP?
Everything! Going twice allows me to focus on rides & food with some characters/photos once and entertainment & food with some characters second time.

Havent figured out my strategy for jollywood yet.....besides fireworks........

What's everyone's strategy for getting rides done during the party? Do you go land-by-land? Do the rides with very low waits (small world, Dumbo, etc) first, saving the headliners for later in the night when more people have left? Start with the rides with holiday overlays first?

We plan to line up at 3 to be in the park right at 4 so we can do as many of the early-closing attractions as possible. This will be our main MK time so we would like to hit a reasonable number of rides, while still leaving time for the parade, fireworks, show, and cookies!

Me! It was my very first real rollercoaster as a kid so I try and do it whenever I'm at a Disney park. I had a LL for it in July at Disneyland but it went down before I could use it. I will definitely be riding it this trip.
I'd love to hear some good strategies, too. While we've been to Disney many times and are passholders, it's out first party. We are going on 11/17. We have an ADR at Tony's for 4:00 after spending some am time in AK.

Strategies really depend on what you wish to see and do during the party. What interests you?

I’m not the person you’re replying to, but I asked this question upthread and I would love some help strategizing. Here are my group’s priorities, not in any particular order:

- Christmas parade on Main Street, fireworks, stage shows
- TRON (after dark)
- Big Thunder
- Space (with holiday overlay)
- Jingle Cruise
- Liberty Belle Riverboat at sunset
- Enchanted Tales with Belle
- Tiana’s
- Meet Ariel in her Grotto
- Teacups (holiday overlay)
- Pirates
- Haunted Mansion
- 7 Dwarves Mine Train

So far all I can think of is to do Belle and Ariel first, then hit the riverboat around 5. Then do all the rides we want on the left side of the park before the holiday overlays turn on in Tomorrowland at 7.

I also don’t know the most efficient way to hit the 10 pm fireworks and the 11 pm parade and the stage show(s?) in between. Do we just park at the end of Main Street in the hub? We plan to get cookies, cocoa, and character meets as we can but they’re not at the top of the list.

I too, am debating our strategy and whether we need one. We are used to doing DLR without a plan but this is WDW *and* a party so it's different. Most of our party is going to be mainly interested in rides and treats. I plan to hit the parade and fireworks possibly by myself.

Man, when do they normally release menus? Isn't the first party in about two weeks? Maybe I'm just impatient. 😂
