We attended a sold out MNSSHP in Aug. We arrived at 5:50 based on timestamps on our photos and we had our pick of party tap-stiles. I would guess you won’t have much of a wait if you arrive around 6:00. Honestly, unless you arrive prior to 4:30 I don’t think you’ll face much of a line.
Thanks everybody for the replies! Feeling better about the lines and knowing that we can just enter and if needed, can get our bands inside the park.

That's our plan and we are arriving around 4! Just walk in the regular gates and get wristbands inside.

We will not have access other than party tickets. What is the best time to arrive to avoid the line? We were thinking of getting there a little after 3, even if this means waiting to get in. I prefer to get the most out of our time and get through the gates as close to 4pm as possible.

Attending for the first time this year! We have AP's and our travel buddies have a valid ticket with park hopper.
Getting a little stressed reading about the lines to get in.
If we arrive at 6:00, can we enter MK as day guests and get our party bands inside the park? Is this a better option?

If you're arriving at 6:00, the lines will be gone at that point and you can walk right in the party entrance.

There is really only a line right at 4:00, and even then, it may take 15-20 minutes at the most to get through it.

It will vary some, I usually show up by 3:15 for this type of strategy, and there may be 10 groups ahead of me at that point. A little after 3 you should be quite near the front. By 3:30 the line is much longer. If it is hot and sunny I bring an umbrella for shade!

Does this mean if I am not an AP holder, I can't order this?

  • Frozen Espresso Martini: Frozen Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, Minute Maid Vanilla Smoothie, SelvaRey Chocolate Rum, and Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur with chocolate sauce and topped with chocolate curls (New) (Also available as non-alcoholic cold brew)

Anything that says AP exclusive can only be purchased as a passholder.

But this isn't a MK/MVMCP party thing anyway since it has alcohol. Looks like it's probably at Epcot.

It's jollywood - I find them having an AP restricted drink odd... It really sounded yummy to me but I guess I'll just have to live without it.

Ah ok.

Yeah I've never seen an AP exclusive food/drink item so that is new. There is a lot of passholder exclusive merch though and that's how it works.

Yeah - the merch I get and understand. I just wasnt sure I was really reading the description right - that it was restricted.... Thanks much🥰

Bit the bullet and bought our tickets for December 1st. I was on the fence, but ultimately it's hard to resist.
Yay! That's the party I'm going to as well! December 1st 2023 party was the second party to sell out last year, so it's good to get it early.

I’m seeing lots of people talking about their food plans. Just want to comment on the exclusive food they offer only for the parties. That’s actually one of my favorite things about the parties
Yes! I always wait for the holiday specific food/treats to be announced before planning my food for party day. Last year there was a lot of savory food I wanted to try so had to kind of plan around trying those, particularly since I was solo and couldn't share any of it lol

I keep reading that it's hard to find "real" food during the parties? That and we don't want to do a table service meal during the party because it takes too much time. I just figured that since we have so much time that day before we are allowed inside the MK we might as well spend that time fueling up . . .
No? Pecos Bill and Cosmic Ray's usually has savory food/meals until later into the party. Looking at the map/pamphlet from last year's party these were the food locations and restrictions for time:
Casey's Corner
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Main Street Bakery (I remember seeing this open as I was leaving the park)
Sunshine Tree Terrace
Aloha Isle (open until 9pm)
Golden Oak Outpost
Pecos Bill (open until 11pm)
Sleepy Hollow
CRT
BOG
Storybook Treats
Friar's Nook
Cosmic Ray's
Auntie Gravity's
Cool Ship

Considering the party usually ends at midnight, Pecos bill closing an hour early isn't bad and Cosmic Ray's seems to be open the whole party. At the party last year, Pecos Bill had a Chicken Tamale, which was SOOOO good (it was a party exclusive menu item)

I have been to MVMCP since before covid and I'm going the first night. It's not my only MK time so I'd prefer to use non party time to wait in line which is what I did before.

How early do I need to get in line to meet the Seven Dwarfs to minimize my party time wait? I'll sit and eat dinner in line like last time but I can't remember if I got in line at 530 or earlier.

I'm not sure that the 7 Dwarfs will be there this year. They aren't for the Halloween Party and they were at both parties last year.

Good to know. I don't pay attention to the party stuff if I'm not going.

Joining the bandwagon! I had planned not to go to DW until late spring...but I couldn't resist getting in the holiday spirit and caved and just booked a short Solo Christmas Blowout Trip Dec. 12 - 15, 2024! Flying in late on 12/12 and leaving bright and early on 12/15!
12/13 - MVMCP
12/14 - Epcot Festival of the Holidays
- Candlelight Processional
- then over to Hollywood Studios for Jollywood

I have a one day park ticket voucher from a cancelled MNSSHP that I'll use on 12/14.

Does anyone have any idea what happens when you have a ticket to the party but end up canceling your trip? I have tickets for both Very Merry and Jollywood and had to scrap the whole trip. The chat bot said I could get a credit for next years?

You’ll do better to call. There are no refunds. I do believe you can “bank” it for any of the other parties or after hours events. It doesn’t have to be the Christmas ones.
