"Official" 2022 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Let's Boo this!

the last 2 dessert parties I went to had almost no savory. I attended with the expectation of feed and dessert and I was wrong. That's one of the reasons we liked the Tony's party. real food and parade seats and open bar (alcohol and non-alcohol). I went pre-covisd.
Tony’s party sounds ideal, I care much more about parade viewing than the fireworks if I’m honest. But even if they had it this year, seems like it starts too late.

Can people who have been to dessert parties weigh in on how strict they are about the 1.5 hour check in prior to the show? I bought tickets but there’s no way we are doing that. I’d like us to grab a cupcake right before the fireworks and then have a reserved place to watch the show, but I’m a no go at mingling around Tomorrowland Terrace for 90 minutes before the escort to the Plaza. The whole point is to have “reserved” viewing so I don’t have to stay in one place for that long!

I did see someone mention that you could check in, leave, and come back—any experience with that?
You can check in and leave or you can actually arrive when ever you want before fireworks begin.

What is nice you van leave and come back as many times as you with. There also is a bathroom there which is handy. So you could check in , which is quick then come back and sit for a few minutes to eat then head back out as many times as you want,

It really is nice to sit and recharge !

I have only done 1 dessert party which was this March with seating.

For other poster that asked I don’t think I booked early, I caught a cancel not much before our trip. We checked in and waited and it appeared they seated us in that order. Fwiw .

If anyone else was wondering, I called DVC Member Services today and the CM I spoke with said members cannot enter at 2:00 like in previous years/parties. I guess I am not surprised but I am selfishly a teeny bit bummed! Maybe this will change, but that’s what I was told today. Maybe someone else will get a different answer. 😉

My party of 3 got tickets for MNSSHP and I can see them in MDE for all three of us, but when I try to "add to device" only our park tickets show up as selectable. I do not see the MNSSHP tickets at all. Is this going to be a problem for us getting into the party or if we split up after entering MK?

Are you trying to enter using a device that you can't load them to? Or do you have a MB/hard ticket that is properly coded to each MDE account? As long as you have MB/ticket media that's properly coded, you can get in. And, once you're in and banded, you don't have to show/scan the ticket again.

FWIW, I always throw a set of tickets in my park bag because they take up no room but provide an important backup in case one of us (the kids, really) loses a MB.

Last year (so Boo After Hours, not Party) we only had Party tickets - we checked in about 7:15/7:20 p.m. for the dessert party with no issue. We were "supposed" to check in at 6:30 p.m. (fireworks were 8 p.m.) - so we checked in about 45-50 mins late, just grabbed a quick snack and drink... then staked out our place in the reserved garden section about 7:40/7:45 p.m. Reserved garden section for party was not near as crowded as the rest of the hub, but still a good crowd.

Can DVC members still get in at 2:00pm or has this been discontinued?

It looks like no-for-now, but of course no one will know for sure until Disney announces it.

I get the allure of a desert party but a party within a limited time party 🤷🏻‍♂️

I debated doing it during the party I'm going to - mainly since I'm solo so there's no one to hold a spot if I need to hit the restroom, it's nice to know there is the reserved area for fireworks viewing.

BUT I'm gluten-free and find the Erin McKenna crap they have for allergies just that...crap. So I'd be paying around $93 for a place to stand for fireworks, cheese, chocolate covered strawberries, and wine. WAY too pricey for my blood, so I passed.

Not seeing available dessert party availability for most of Sept....not sure if system is down or dessert parties are actually sold out...

I was waiting on hold for over two hours to pay with a gift card yesterday morning. It was available at every party for about 90 minutes, than it was gone.
I'm hoping it was a glitch but it also wouldn't surprise me if they are sold out
