Official 2021 Disney Very Merriest After Hours Thread

Holiday castle projections aren't happening. They are focusing on the 50th.

I think they may turn them on after November 11th when the holidays “officially” start.

It lists on the website about holiday projections in magic kingdom and where would you see holiday projections if not the Christmas party so definitely after the 11th I’m assuming!

I have 2 questions.
We bought Boo Bash tickets, but canceled and used the price to buy Merriest After Hour tickets. I was told we could use the same confirmation number by someone on the disboards which I still have. I never got a Merriest After Hour confirmation. Do you think I need to worry about a confirmation? Also if our tickets are listed in MDE won’t we just be able to scan our bands to get our bracelets for the After Hour tickets?
I also wanted to know are the fireworks the same as the ones they have at 8:00?

I went to last nights event and had a good time. I've never been to a MVMCP before so that could sway me. I have been to Halloween party before though.

We got to the park around 6ish, did Space Mountain since we didn't do that our first day at MK. At 7 we got our wristbands by stitch. We were walking around and eventually watched the 8pm fireworks behind the castle near 7 dwarfs which was down for a bit. As soon as the fireworks ended my girlfriend noted that the coaster was running so we quick hopped in there for a very short 5 minute wait. We then did HM and went to BTRR.

After BTRR we grabbed some popcorn and drinks and I went to get the exclusive cake pop and drink and Golden Oak. We then sat outdoors by Pecos Bills to eat, which was unknowingly fortunate because it gave us a great view of the parade through Frontierland since they didn't let anyone stand by the steps leading to that little outdoor seating area.

After the parade we went to Jingle Cruise, waited about 15-20 min. We had a poor skipper which put a damper on it ( she just went by the numbers). We were fortunate though that the day before we went on it twice, and got the same awesome skipper twice. Even with having her twice she had some different jokes each time and she was excellent, I believe her name was Nicole. If the After hours was our only time on the Jingle Cruise I would've been very disappointed, a great skipper makes all the difference on that ride.

We then walked towards the hub, and caught the stage show. We had decent viewing area by the one snack cart so figured we stay and wait for the firework since it was a nice area that we could lean back on. I loved the fireworks. Really well done, after the show I saw my girlfriend wipe tears from her eyes, that made the price I paid all worth it.

After the fireworks we went to the Laugh Floor, this was cute with the christmas jokes. The wait to get in and the show itself really ate up time. If we didn't hit MK on the day before, I'm not sure I would recommend using party hours for this, seriously it used 30-40 minutes. After we were on main street for parade 2. We were able to just walk up, only one row of people in front of use, the snoap was fun and added to the parade.

All together I'm happy we went. I really liked this more than my Halloween party I went to. The issue I see here is do you want to see the added entertainment or do you want short ride times? I'm not sure you can do both. I was also disappointed that only 2 rides had holiday overlays, and Jingle Cruise is available during the day and Laugh Floor isn't really a ride... I saw previously Tea Party, Space Mountain and Speedway had overlays during Christmas parties and would've liked them back.

Finally pulled the trigger on 12/19 tickets and may have cried a little while checking out lol. We gave the kids a choice between one day at one park during Christmas week or the after hours event. Tough choice since we all really want to see the revamped DHS, but the crowd factor and snacks tipped the scales in this direction. My 13 year old said he will be double fisting mickey bars all night lol. This thread has been helpful. Thank you.

can anyone tell me if there is transportation to the Dolphin Resort after the party?
We stayed at the Dolphin, and just took a Boardwalk bus back. We didn't even bother taking a monorail or the ferry. As we were walking up to the buses we saw a Boardwalk bus pull away, but within a minute another bus pulled up. Disney was chartering buses to take people back, as this was a standard Mears bus (no trolley spaces or standing room).

Are counter services not open during the Christmas party? A previous poster said Friar's Nook is open until 10. Is that it? I know about the sweets and popcorn, anything else savory. My husband will be looking for a midnight hot dog.

Joffrey's? In the MK?? I hate the Starbucks line and prefer Joffrey's. Do they serve Lattes or just sweet drinks. No sugar in my coffee drinks!!

Does anyone know if they sold tickets the day of?

I saw someone ask but I couldn't find if anyone answered yet. Some of the Halloween parties still had tickets being sold the day of even though it was "sold out." Just wondering how common that was as well for the Halloween AF events.

i would think there would tickets for sale the “day of” at least on nights that are not sold out....which would be most nights.

I know this was asked but I don’t see the answer, where can we get the wristband if we are in the park already? Thank you
