Official 2021 Disney Very Merriest After Hours Thread

I saw that rides are open from 8-9:00 for guests with party bands. Anyone know why there are no wait times for this time frame on the app?

last time I went everything was walk on. Now it’s 35 min and 25 min wait for mine train? Sheesh

I wouldn’t trust the app for after hours events though timeframes

When I went to the Christmas Party in 2018 and 2019, I had to wait about 30 minutes each time for Mine Train, and same with Peter Pan.

It looks like the app stopped showing wait times once the park closed at 8. Kind of a bummer. We were able to watch the wait times in the app during the first two parties. I wonder how attendees will know what the times are while at the after hours?

i would think there would tickets for sale the “day of” at least on nights that are not sold out....which would be most nights.

I have no doubts one could buy tickets for the day of if the event isn't sold out.

I am wondering about the sold out dates. I thought the first two parties were sold out?

Did the ride times return once it hit 9pm? It seems that the period from when the park closes at 8 and the event starts at 9 that the app does not show the times. I may be wrong, though. I’ll be at the party next Tuesday and am hopeful that this is the case, as I don’t want to have to walk across the park to see wait times.

I looked in MDE around 10ish last night and they had returned.

I’m curious for those that went to the 2nd party… were they actively checking wristbands? I was pretty surprised that they only checked our wristbands once the entire night especially since we went on a ton of rides. I was wearing a jacket so mine was completely covered and I was only asked once to show it. I understand when I went it was night 1 so maybe the CM’s forgot. They checked our bands the entire night with prior AH events I attended.

The ride wait times came back in the app at 9:00 for me, they just were not there from 8:00-9:00 last night. Odd.

How bad are the crowds looking for Enchantment on the After Hours nights? I do really want to see Enchantment, but would rather not be waiting an hour on Main Street for a decent spot. We have a 1:30p reservation at Steakhouse 71 so I feel like we will be getting hungry around 7-8 I was thinking we could mobile order Casey's at 7 for a quick dinner...don't really want hot dogs though, haha! Just wondering if we have time to squeeze in a quick meal or if we should just eat a snack beforehand.

edited to add: we only have tickets for the After Hours so we can only enter at 7

Judging by the YouTube videos, it seems the Enchantment crowds are heavy on party nights. I don’t know how it looks on normal days, but is seems like a decent crowd.

I don’t think first party sold out until the day of so they must have sold whatever tickets they did have the same day. So hopefully this means that they won’t be selling additional tickets for days that are listed as “sold out”

I do find it interesting that after a few After Hours nights people aren’t running to buy tickets....I guess if all the nights do sell out we can expect future events to continue to rise in price...I don’t know if Disney will see that many guests who buy tickets are compensating by staying fewer nights in a resort or spending less on food and shopping. I did modify our reservation to remove one night and made sure CM knew the reason...
