Is Monsters, Inc. open during the after hours event?

I did Boo Bash last night solo and had a really great time, I did go …
After this my night went something like: Candy stop, snack stop, Buzz, candy stop, candy stop, Splash, BTMRR x3, candy stop, candy stop, snack stop, 7DMT (15 min wait), candy stop, candy stop, Buzz, People mover, candy stop and sat in monsters inc. for the “show” and a/c, watched cavalcades in front of the castle, walked through the emporium on my way out to see if I needed to spend more money, and then exited at 12:30. I caught a boat back to Poly and was dead asleep by 1:30.

It was not open at 8/17s boo bash. They had 2 treat locations there. The monsters were doing interviews with kids live, interacting on the screen though...so perhaps that's what someone meant by show. We were rushing thru to get treats and get on a final ride just before the event ended, so didn't stay.

They had it open for a while here and there, I went through that treat station twice and they were interacting with people each time. It’s not the show, but they have “monsters” picking people out and they were trying to guess how people celebrate Halloween where they live (they had a CM walking around with a microphone). It might not be at every event, but fun to check out and see (and nice to sit in there for an a/c break regardless)

Ok so why have more resorts opened up for September? are people cancelling or did Disney open all resorts? There are 21 resorts with availability for my upcoming trip here in 11 days.

Presumably, lots of cancellations due to the large uptick in COVID cases.

Even wait times are down and people are getting ROTR boarding passes.

For those who bought Boo Bash tickets and the phone CM entered them to be at will call. What has been your experience on party night? I have them linked to my MDE and can see them attached to each person in my account.
Can we use our magicbands and not worry about waiting in line at guest services to get them, etc?

Yep, no problem using the magic bands to get into Boo bash! We even had the DVC discount for ours and didn't need to visit guest services.

Ticket info on canceling. I had a tough time finding this information.

I had some guests cancel on me for Boo Bash, and some are up in the air. I was able to trade in the Boo Bash tickets for regular day tickets on the phone, and the CM said that I can change the Boo Bash tickets around to other people. They issued me regular, unassigned day tickets.

I bought all the tickets for a large party, so they're all under my email.

I plan to swap the day tickets for an AP next week.

It looks like refunds in some form or another are available, unless there is context missing from the above post (from the main Boo Bash thread.)

My tickets are for late October, so unused. CM said that I couldn't get a refund on the Boo Bash tickets, but I could reassign them to other people in my MDE -- or apply the money from the Boo Bash tickets to other kinds of tickets, including an AP next week. I traded in Boo Bash tickets for another person for unassigned day tickets. I'm planning to buy an AP, so that worked great for me.

I'm buying multiple APs, so as of now, I would be 1:1. If other people cancel in my party, I guess I'll be trying to combine day tickets and Boo Bash into AP. Guess we will see how that goes... Maybe I'll be making some friends in Orlando.

When we bought these feels like a universe ago with Florida and Covid.

Haven’t left our room yet for tonight’s Boo Bash yet since the clouds opened up and sidewalks are flooding, etc. Anyone hear anything about tonight’s bash? It’s supposed to rain until 11ish

I have Boo Bash tickets for later in September. Staying at the Riviera. I’m not a fan of buses and would prefer to use a ride share service to get to and from the TTC (and the monorail to and from MK). Does anyone have experience doing that, especially at the end of the night? Will there be Uber or Lyft drivers available? Thanks so much.

Rough and late start to the night but once the rain faded around 8:30 we still had a wonderful time.

There are always Uber/Lyft drivers around. You won't have a problem.

I had them linked to my account, didn't go to will call or GS, just went to the tapstills as normal and had zero issues. Just used my magic band and zoomed right in no problem.
