Universal Orlando’s statement:

We know Coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted many parts of your life – including your travel and vacation plans and we will be eager to welcome you back to our theme parks and destination when the time comes. For now, we must make the health and safety of our guests and team members our top priority and we will continue to take guidance from health agencies and government officials.

This means we are extending the closure of Universal Orlando Resort at least through May 31. This includes our theme parks and Universal CityWalk. The Universal Orlando Resort hotels have also temporarily suspended operations through this time period.

RPR King Suite
Oct. 8 - $375.2
Oct. 9/10 - $403.20
Oct. 11 - $375.20
SMSM rate (hoping for an AP rate later)
booked this room in December, 2019

okay so the above room was changed to a King Deluxe at the Hard Rock literally 2 days ago. Changed resorts because it was basically the same cost and because we have never stayed at the Hard Rock before. The King Deluxe was $371.20 for 2 nights, $399.20 for 2 nights totaling $1733.41 before my deposit.

Thanks to seeing a post from Keisha that AP rates are out, I dropped down a category to a Garden 2 Queen at HR and was able to save a bunch. Dates and rates:
October 8-12 (Thursday - Monday)
HR Garden 2 Queen
Oct. 8 - $234.00
Oct. 9 - $299.00
Oct. 10 - $299.00
Oct. 11 - $234.00
all in total of $1199.25

Just tossing this out there as a FYI for those who don’t follow Disney park news...

WDW currently is not accepting new resort bookings at this time, electing to work with the ones they currently have on the books.

Musing that this may effect availability/rates going forward at Universal onsite properties, YMMV

Check out the new information on AP rates.
My September/October stay dropped greatly for my dates.

Prices were adjusted and lowered today.
I feel like I won the lottery...they included the water view rooms this time.
