"Official" 2019 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Oh-So-Jolly Holiday Celebration

Hi everyone,
First time Christmas-party attendees here! Group of 9 adults, interested in seeing the parade but don't necessarily needs to have the BEST views. Is watching from the Liberty Square area (before the bridge to the hub) feasible? Some of the group would like to try for a last minute ride on SDMT right after, so thinking this spot might have a good exit strategy? But I'm guessing this would make seeing any of the projections on the castle more difficult for the fireworks before right? Thanks!

For us, the area outside Columbia Harbour House has been lovely. There is a turn there and the performers always stop and dance... it's a great spot and as soon as the parade passes we hit Haunted Mansion :)

We are going to MVMCP and the terrace viewing dessert party. We have done the dessert party before but it's been awhile and we have done the MVMCP before but it's was nine years ago and we have never done both on same night. I do not remember the overall timing but just how enjoyable of experiences they were. The Dessert party was is at 9 and fireworks at 10. What time should we check in? and how early do they allow seating? We are trying to decide which parade to watch. Our kids are grown so we are not planning on any character meet and greets. We just want to ride a few rides and enjoy Christmas atmosphere and shows. Does any one know if the Dapper Dans still perform on Main Street during the MVMCP?

We have the plaza party booked for Nov. 15. The fact that now nothing is available for either dessert party for all dates is a little disconcerting. I really hope they aren't cancelled :(

so i was searching for information on MVMCP on disneyworld.com just now using internet not the phone app. and when i clicked on dessert party there is availability for both desert parties for several dates now.

i was also able to find late night availability for bog and Crt dining during MVMCP party which do not show up using MDE app.

Sadly I agree. I probably wouldn’t have bought party tickets if I knew the seasonal pass was going to be a thing. I am hoping the high crowd levels for the Halloween party prevent them from offering it for the Christmas party.

I have a feeling there has been a decent amount of negative feedback - I don't think this is going to be a recurring theme for MVMCP. I HOPE.

I just looked, and I ended up checking every single date, and found nothing :(

Definitely feasible. We staked out a spot near Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe opposite the Hall of Presidents for the 2nd parade. Here’s our view. We picked our spot about 45+ minutes before the parade. Had watched Wishes fireworks from the hub near the bridge to Liberty Square. After the fireworks, we went straight to Liberty Square to wait for the parade. This was during the 1st wk of Dec in 2015. Party was not particularly crowded that night. Yes you can bypass the hub when exiting, but Main St is still all backed up. We like to walk around and let the crowds dissipate somewhat before exiting.

Thanks for the info about a good spot for the parade. Love your pics. I think I’ll look in that area when I go

Thanks you, this is perfect! 😁

I have never noticed a lot of people in the parks without wrist bands, though honestly I've never specifically been looking. I have seen many, many times CMs escorting folks without a wrist band to the entrance, not allowing folks without a wristband to enter a ride a few minutes after 6pm, etc.

Thanks. That's reassuring!

How much "Free" time do you imagine one would have if they skipped the first parade and only did one or two each of the treat trails/ meet n greets? I'm considering doing the Christmas Party, but it would be my only MK day, so I'm concerned about how much waiting and riding I could do in between party activities. I'm already losing out on Be Our Guest a second time, I would hate to have to trade off more...

I think the party starts at 7pm but you can get in as early as 4pm (2pm if you are DVC) - and you can use that time as free time? you can also book fast passes right up until 6pm. So if you got there at 4pm and skipped the first parade on top of that - you'd have a fair amount of free time. If the second parade doesnt start until 11pm like last year - and you don't want to do anything else party related:

Last years schedule:
A Frozen Holiday Wish - 6:15 p.m., 8:15 p.m.
Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration - 7:40 p.m., 9:25 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:55 p.m.
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade - 8:30 p.m., 11 p.m.
A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas - 7:45 p.m., 8:35 p.m., 9:25 p.m., 10:45 p.m., 11:35 p.m.
Club Tinsel - 7 p.m.-12 a.m.

I'm getting really excited to see the new line up and trifold for MVMCP 2019! I have our tentative schedule for that evening ready to go, assuming times will be similar to last year. I also got the three FPs I want for that evening! Buzz 2:40-3:40, 7DMT 4:15-5:15, and Peter Pan 5:20-6:00

Now all that's left.... decide where to stand for castle fireworks, and decide between LTT and BOG for early dinner. I love getting to the point where this is the hardest decision of the day - ha!
