Official 2017 Star Wars - Light Side Half Marathon Weekend (Jan 12th - 15th, 2017)

Question: was there a place to put POT for the 10k? I only recall one for the half.

Nope. You just have to pick your estimated pace per mile.

5K and 10K only get that. Rebel Challenge and/or half participants have to do proof of time.

Stupid us... we signed up originally for the 10K. Then we added the half later because it's a han/leia medal. Challenge w/o the challenge medal :(

So are Rebel Challenge 10k corrals based off the half POT?

Well at least it's cheaper and the rebel challenge medal isn't great (prefer previous years)

Yes, the 10K corrals as part of the Rebel Challenge are based off POT.

When we did the Dumbo Double Dare, we were in G for the half and E for the 10K. They're consistent... they take your POT and estimated finish time to put you in the pace group that matches your POT. (ie: a 1:13 POT for a 10K race will put you at a 2:44 half marathon, so they'll adjust accordingly and place accordingly)

Thanks for the explanation!!!

10k water stations only at miles 2 and 3?!

Make sure to bring your own water because that'll be a long back half of the race as you get towards the end and tired. Wow.

I don't know why they can't figure out the 10k hydration. Same thing at Avengers and Disneyland this year too!

I would suggest to everyone to bring their own water and fuel when you need to. I made a huge mistake during Dumbo and did not bring my own water and was hurting for the half the next day!!

My husband is in B (like we expected when we saw the new corrals) and I'm in G which is a shock in a good way but I'll take it!

Sorry if this is a repeat question (literally just signed up for the 10k about a week ago, so getting caught up on message board info) - does anyone have last year's 10k corrals? Trying to estimate where my friend & I might be placed based on our bib numbers.

I know sometimes bloggers will post the 10k corrals when they get them at the Expo.

Very excited! An impromptu Disneyland race weekend is the best! :)

Yay for waivers! Off to check!

Has anyone here put an iron-on transfer on a tech material shirt? If you have, can you give me some tips?

Submitted a 2:45 and got put in corral I with the 3:15 pace. I will be running the WDW half the weekend before and got placed with the 2:45 pacers. Ugh. Hope there's enough in the tank to keep me from being swept.

Woo hoo Corral B for the challenge! :cool1:
This is so exciting - just 3 weeks to go! Peak training weekend for me - with Christmas I did my 5 miler today and will do 12-14 tomorrow then TAPER!

Last year they only had 5 corrals for the 10K. This year they have 7 so it will be a bit different from last year. For the 10k last year I was in C with a 2:45 half POT, so just over a 12 min mile pace I think. I'm guessing the same pace this year will put me in E, possibly D.

Corral I for the 1/2 which is what I expected. I'm slower so I pick and choose any pictures that I want that also have really short lines and don't worry about the rest. Last year I probably could have done the photo with BB-8 during the 1/2, but settled for the "selfie" shot. A few months later I got a much better photo with BB-8 inside Star Wars Launch Bay than I would have gotten if I'd stood in line during the race anyways.
