so all day I've been crunching numbers. Allstar music suit (7, 8, or 9 nights) pop standard and pop preferred (7. 8 or 9 nights) My DH has just started seeing the music suites as a possibility. He likes the queen bed for him and I, the extra bathroom, and the teenager having his own space LOL. I was very iffy with how old I though music rooms were but they look to have been updated recently. It is now in the figures and my notebooks full.
We have stayed in the ASMu Suites a few times and liked them a lot. They were roomy and great for families. That 2nd bathroom helped a lot! I would consider them again this year if we didn't have 7 people on this vacay. Have to get 2 rooms this year.

Planning first on-site stay at Disney... I'm currently booked at CBR with GC. If free dining comes out and I change my reservation to include free dining promo, would that be considered a new reservation and cause me to lose the CG? I know you can combine the 2, just want to make sure I can do it online without havi
I know it will be buried somewhere in the pages, but much quicker to ask again - what is the cost per day to upgrade to TS if it is QS at the mod when FD comes out?
$21 Adult $4 Child

We are already booked on a FD BB at Pop in September but I will be trying for FD for a friend who is hoping to join us. Now that it looks like a 4 day PH ticket will be required this changes things a bit. My friend was planning to upgrade her tickets to a Florida resident mid-week annual pass (if I am able to get her FD), but the cost of that pass will be quite a bit less than the 4 day PH ticket. Would she be able to get a credit for the difference?

Good luck everyone! April 24 will be here before we know it!
No they do not refund the difference. We did this last September.

I agree that it will be OR. If it was AND, why would you even have that as an option? You'd just say it has to be PH+. So far only Black has used AND, which could just be a semantics issue on his part: applies to people who have PH and people who have PH+.

And again, I also agree, that in the grand scheme of things, the price difference won't matter. Will you let the cost of 3 churros prevent you from getting free dining for your entire trip?
Exactly!! If you have to buy the PH+ to get FD, it isn't the end of the world. Remember, you can go to a Water Park and it won't use one of the days on your pass (included as a + perk). For example, you can buy a 6 day PH+ instead of a 7 day PH, and actually save a few dollars (just don't go to a park the same day as a water park).

Really hoping mods are not just QS for FD. I've been crunching the numbers and the difference in price between a room only discount with 1-park per day tickets and the TS meal plan is within $50 of a MOD w/ FD, PH passes and the TS upgrade. Essentially making FD pointless. :worried:

Quick question.
Say i have a ressie for POR. 1am the 24th rolls around and POR is excluded from FD. How difficult is it to quickly cancel and rebook a different resort?

No no. The way he worded it probably isn't the best. If what black says is true, you have to have the park hopper and park hopper plus option.

I don't think this is right. The way I understand it, you can't have both. Park Hopper Plus includes Park Hopper with the add on of water parks. So to have Park Hopper AND Park Hopper Plus would mean you had double Park Hopper.
The Plus is not an add on to the Park Hopper, it is considered a separate add on to your base ticket.
It means you can purchase EITHER the Park Hopper or the Park Hopper Plus ticket to get the free dining, OR Disney may be really naughty and require Park Hopper Plus as the minimum add on. But if both are mentioned, I would assume either is sufficient. If they just said Park Hopper was a requirement, then people who bought Park Hopper Plus would think they weren't included in the offer because it's a different add on.

Does anyone remember last years rumors before FD dropped? I feel like the QS at mods was rumored in the past then it was regular dining when it dropped. I can't remember but I feel like I have been through this before. Not sure how I would deal with QS paying mod prices. FD usually makes or breaks our vacation and adding an additional $700 for an upgrade is going to be a tough decision.

I wasn't on last year's journey, but I wonder if those were rumours BEFORE Black dropped the pixie bomb. The fact his "rumour" is that Mod only get QS, makes me think it is the case.

The only speculation this year I've read is that Values only get the 1 QS because that's what was offered to UK packages, but most people dismissed this because it has always been the case.

I dunno. The fact it was specifically included in Black's announcement makes me think it's the case.

Anyone else feel Black is like a celeb? And if we knew what he looked like we'd all be getting selfies with him and posting them here with, "He touched my Magic Band! I'm never washing it again!"

We're booked at CBR with the gift cards. Trying to crunch numbers and work out the best scenario. We will be getting Park Hopper no matter what and will be doing TS meals (already booked!) because it's our first time at WDW and we like long days!

Options are -

1. Keep CBR and gift cards and modify for free dining, adding on our 4 day park hopper tickets as per requirement and what we want. Pay for dining plan upgrade ($63 total for 3 of us).

2. Keep CBR and gift cards but buy our 4 day park hopper ticket elsewhere to save some money, then use the money saved plus gift cards to pay for food OOP. Possibly save more with a RO discount if that becomes available.

The issue I have is I don't know what the potential saving is when buying park tickets elsewhere. We are 3 Disney adults.
Where is the cheapest place to buy the 4 day park hopper tickets? Will the savings offset the cost of buying the tickets through Disney with the free QS dining?

:welcome: to the thread of insanity...er, I mean, the free dining thread!

black562 apparently has some inside info and has been very reliable and accurate with his information in past years. When he speaks, people listen.

How exciting this will be your first time to WDW!! Have you booked already? Where are you staying? What are your dates? How fun! :jumping1:
What is his Facebook page?

First book another and cancel later... you don't have to cancel to book a new one.. if POR is included in offer but you don't get it first day.. book for whatever is available and look for few days Than cancel

Out side tickets savings or not that much compared to free dining.. u might be looking at max of 50 dollar per ticket.
As per the history room only discount will max 25 percent for mods. If u r trip is 4 than it might work out.. if it's more than 4 days than free dining is better option.

Disney will definitely not give a credit! She can upgrade her pass as long the ticket is more. If it is less, they might not let her do it, or if they do, she would lose out on the difference. We have DL AP's and will buy 7 day park hoppers, and will upgrade to the Premier pass (will have to pay $70 for the upgrade). If we have to buy the PH+ to get FD, we might have to buy the 6 day pass because I don't want to be in the situation where Disney owes me money.

No they do not refund the difference. We did this last September.

Thank you both very much!
