When you go to the Disney website it says- Park Hopper Option and Park Hopper Plus Option.

When you book you don't book both options, only one. So for me and just about everyone but Rusty2rules we read it as you need one of the two options not both.

Not sure it really matters that much like I mentioned and a few others the price difference between the two different types of hoppers is $16 per adult ticket. If that amount is too much then maybe you are better off not booking FD.
I agree that it will be OR. If it was AND, why would you even have that as an option? You'd just say it has to be PH+. So far only Black has used AND, which could just be a semantics issue on his part: applies to people who have PH and people who have PH+.

And again, I also agree, that in the grand scheme of things, the price difference won't matter. Will you let the cost of 3 churros prevent you from getting free dining for your entire trip?

Here is another off topic question. I see a bunch of people stay off site. What are good places to stay and what ones aren't so good? Can you still get the DDP staying offsite?
I also believe you also can only get DPP if you have a package, so room and tickets. If you do room only and get discounted tickets elsewhere, you can't get DDP. (Edited: There are exceptions for AP)

When I did my calcs, for the food I planned to get (with or without DDP), it came out cheaper to get full-price tiks+DDP vs discounted tiks+food OOP.

So I know that most people have decided, and it makes sense, that it isn't the best financially to book a mod and only get QS FD. What are people's thoughts on booking a value and getting QS FD? Has anyone decided that it may be smarter to use RO discount and pay out of pocket assuming you use all of your snacks and QS credits? I tried using the dining calculator, but I think my brain is mush at this point o_O
I have been looking at numbers all day today. If we stay inside Disney we will have to use the RO discount. We are Florida residents and the 4 day park ticket and add ons are just to high for us. It is way cheaper for us to buy the 4 day PH Florida residents tickets, RO discount and still looking at paying OOP or getting the CS dining plan. The OOP and CS dining plan are almost the same price. We will probably get the dining plan. I have a AP and can add the dining plan on to our reservations without having to add tickets. Why is nothing easy? :crazy2::crazy:

Does anyone feel that if the moderates only get quick service free dining that its all part of Disney's master plan to fade out free dining? I mean they added the park hopper requirement a little while ago and now possibly this? Just wondering..

If it does come down that way it may, but who knows maybe they'll keep it that way for 10 more years. Who knows?

I picked it because it's my Birthday.

This thread is causing me to not get my work done. I have PJ shorts to finish for my nephew's Birthday. Was hoping to get a pair of shorts done too but the knit fabric for the PJ shorts was not cooperating!
It's my birthday too!!! That's why I didn't pick it, I want to sleep in.:teeth:
