Anyone having trouble modifying their reservations online (aside from adding the FD promo)? I can't even change minor things without the spinning wheel of death.

Try accessing the website through your phone. I couldn't get through on my lap top but was able to modify on my iphone.

I was able to change from a Poly Deluxe Studio DVC to a Standard room with FD for about $350 more (due to park hoppers) at around noon today, using the Visa link that was here in the thread. Thank GOODNESS for that link because I never would have gotten it otherwise, despite having booked the original trip with my Disney Visa!

When I booked there was also availability for Themepark view and Club Level rooms but I didn't want to pay even more... Would have nullified the benefit of free dining.

I was working all day, but I was able to snag a CRB standard room 12/9-12/15. I wanted 12/11-12/17, but it still works. I had to make a new reservation cause I couldn't change dates online, but my MIL called (she did the same thing) and is being told that the GC's will still be given to us. We just need to call Guest Services when things quiet down some to have them "merge" our 2 separate reservations. I'm hoping the CM she talked to today, knew what they are talking about!!

Browser change worked but it is a 2 minute wait just to load the next page after clicking on modify. Disney really needs a better system especially since they get all my tax return money. lol

The spinning wheel of death LOL! Sorry just found that funny. Try using a different browser. I was getting the death wheel and then I changed from Safari to google chrome and my "change reservation button" came up almost right away..before that I had the wheel for hours. Good luck!

I couldn't modify my CBR standard res to get fd for Sept/Oct online. No availability. Occasionally pirate rooms were showing for the free dining when I refreshed but not standard or water view or preferred. It came and went for pirate.

I eventually called (4pm EST) and got through to guest services and with some pixie dust was upgraded for free to water view room which had free dining avail (nothing avail for standard) and it was all sorted and I got to keep our gift cards.
3+ hrs on phone, 1 of those with guest services.

So now I'm going to go have a Nana nap and have a break from all things Disney! Will look at upgrading dining once the frenzy dies down.

I hope others had similar good fortune with their plans!

I had almost the same experience.... seems like they opened up CBR at 3:00. I was freaking out because I had to pick up the kids from school at 3:20, but got it booked in time to get them.

lol I was in the parking lot of the grocery store when people started posting that rooms became available. I sat there for almost 15 minutes waiting for the pages to refresh and confirm. But so worth it!

Um, wait on the phone for 2+ hrs from Australia and then when you get thru to a cast member have them accidentally cut your call.

Cry a little bit in the corner of the room. Drink some more wine.
Go to sleep for a few hours.

Wake up and try again. This time spending 3+ hrs on the phone before getting it sorted.



But seriously, just be polite, honest and thank them for their time.

Last time I stayed at Music it was during school trip season. There were at least 5 different middle school band groups. Lines for resort meals were a bit long if you went during peak times but I was really impressed with how well behaved the children were. I imagine Pop Warner would be a similar level of crazy (busy but not oppressive). I say keep it (Sports > Music imho)! Why are you nervous?

I have a special needs DD who has major sleeping issues especially with noise. I am afraid the resort will be too loud. We requested top floor. To be honest I usually stay at a moderate (but can not afford it this year)and I am probably just being a resort snob. Lol.

I booked 2 room at POR in January(with hopes of getting free dining) under Disney's old pricing. If availability opens up for FD in the same room category as my current reservation will I have to pay the cost increase when Disney raised their prices?

Did you book room only back in January? If you booked room only the FD offer is a package so you would have to book the FD package at current rack rate and ticket price and your room only reservation would be cancelled.

No we didn't have any issues with noise. In fact I don't think I have ever heard anything at music in the rooms. It's the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We have stayed on all the floors and in three separate buildings during different trips. The way our room faced last year we did hear the fireworks from Hollywood studios, but you could also see them perfectly. We watched them about three times from right outside our door. Also you park very close to your room so it makes having a car even better.

Well okay then. Maybe I'll just keep this preferred!! I don't love noise. Do you remember where your room was? Now going to look at what breakfast we can grab since we will be close to melody hall.

Unfortunately most TA's working with top Disney agencies only make a small percentage of a trip and have absolutely NO control over what their agency will offer. Most TA's only make 6% commission on a trip, and we have to pay taxes. Its not so easy to replace things in this type of a situation. ( I had a client upset over the Hurricane last year wanting compensation which there was nothing I could do other then to call Disney and ask, when that wasn't good enough I asked my agency who said they could do nothing.. & it is what it is. )

Yes but a hurricane isn't the same as making a mistaske and losing someone something with a monetary value.

Were the standard rooms available or did you have to book a preferred?

I got Sept 1-5. In my case, I had a preferred and had to change to a standard.

Finally, after trying for 14+ hours, was able to get the button to change my reservation online and.....all values are completely sold out of FD rooms for our dates.

Also try opening the site in a different browser. Worked perfectly the first time in Firefox.

MM is t's own transaction and should have a confirmation number. Once you buy it you own it.

I added it to my package but I was only charged $200 for my deposit.
