Really? I haven't booked since 2014 and we got free dining back then. We like pofq (favorite moderate) but don't want to cancel completely yet abd risk losing it if poly doesn't work for us for free dining

It's our favourite too. POFQ has been shut out of FD for a couple of years now.

If you have memory maker and insurance on your reservation can you not add free dining? I'm so confused!

Yes you can. That has nothing to do with whether you can get FD, but the OP has those already on her reservation and her reservation does not fit the FD dates, so my advice is to call instead of trying to switch it all over to a new reservation.

I could use some help/advice. This is my fourth time going in the last 5 years, I have always booked everything myself, although we did not go last year. We always go in September for 9 nights 10 days. And we have always stayed at CBR with FD. We are now looking at maybe going to Port Orleans Riverside or pop resort. Do you think they will be a huge price difference between the two ( counting on FD) we have never stayed at a value resort but if they are not offering the DD plan for mod resort though I think it might be better to stay at a value? We love CBR so much and I just don't want to be disappointed. My kids are 9 and 11. We usually do five days of parks and enjoying leisure time at the resort.

We also have to pay a horrible exchange rate as we are from Canada so every bit of savings helps. Thanks!

If five of your days are spent at the resort in the pools, I think your kids will be disappointed at POP. The values don't have slides or anything; it's just a pool. However, you could get the PH+ ticket that would give you entrance to the water parks and spend some of your days there. If that ticket is not required, it's around $15 per ticket to upgrade to that ticket from the regular park hopper.

Thanks I got worried! I am booked at POR Sept 30-Oct 7th.... and that was before all these rumors! Hope I'll be able to snag the dining!

It's like the class at animation academy they used to do at HS. But now it's Star Wars Launch Bay. They do it 3 times a day an animator teaches you how to draw a character. Our last trip we did it 5 times. My daughter loves to draw.

I didn't know they still did it!! I have always wanted to try - that just got added to my HS plans - thanks

So where is the new animation academy OFfered at - last I had heard it was held @ AoA? I Cant tell from your post if its held at Star WARs Launch Bay or if you were saying the old anim academy area is now the launch bay.

They have been known to release it in the wee hours of the morning. You will probably need tickets, possibly PH, to get FD. And you could add those and then remove them again if you don't get FD. Or, you could just wait and get a new reservation when it drops and then cancel the first one. I probably wouldn't change anything until you know more. We often get more updates closer to time. Look for posts by Black562.

Thanks for the info! Last time I called but we had a full package already reserved. I'm scared to do it myself for fear I'll somehow delete our BLT res since it's no longer available. We're open to switching to CR but not if we don't have to.

She was asking what the drawing class was at AOA. I was explaining that it is like the one that used to be at HS that is now the place SWLB is. But obviously not clearly. Lol!!

It's not at HS anymore. The art classes are at AoA now at 11:00, 2:00 and 5:00 in the lobby (unless there has been a change since last year).

In order to qualify for free dining your check in date needs to fall in the fd dates.

Funny, but Dad posted a reply to someone saying that last year they were true black out dates and you only got fd for the dates within the offer period and it would probably be the case this year.

No one else have ever said that. No idea where he is getting his info??
