I've already added in a day too. Lol. It's going to be our rest day and the mid part of the trip falls on Saturday so I thought perfect day to sleep in, we are going to grab QS at Animation resort, donthe drawing class, go do our free mini golf which we've never done have an early dinner at Raglan Road and go to sleep early. Prefect reset day for the rest of the trip.
So Have I lol

If you can't modify online right now, you probably won't be able to on Monday.

Your options are to call in at 7 am Monday OR go online early Monday morning and make a completely new reservation that includes FD and then cancel the old one. I guess you could make a new reservation now, but until we know all the particulars for sure, it just doesn't make much sense to me to do that. You may not be able to modify a new reservation either and you'd be back in the same boat you're in now. For me, waiting until early Monday and making a completely new reservation makes the most sense.

Thank you so much sharonabe!! I haven't booked since 2014 and feel like a lot has changed!! When should I be up on Monday?

Here's another question I had thinking about the Disney Visa: I have a Disney Debit from Chase. Is that just as good as the credit card for this purpose?

I didn't know they had a debit card that wasn't also a credit card. I just took a look at my card. Not a debit card. Just a credit card. So, I'm not sure. I wonder if you could call Chase and find out?

So rebook a new reservation and cancel the old one? I would be able to cancel it later online and get a refund? I already purchased memory maker, will I be able to transfer. Then just repurchase my trip insurance too with the new reservation.

So I might need to be up at 3am to make sure?

I would call Disney within the next couple of days to make sure the MM and insurance would transfer to the new reservation. Wouldn't want you to lose money on anything. And remember, right now these are just rumors. I wouldn't change too much until I knew exactly what the FD offer includes.

Especially since having to probably make a new reservation online?

Drawing class?? Would love to know what this is!

Well, I can't comment on your math, but, I'm also currently holding the Cdn tix, and my TA has advised, that if FD is a better deal, we have to buy the full price US tix with PH......

We're a family of 5 (2A, 3C), and so far, as long as a comparable fall RO discount materializes, FD won't be our cheapest option (because we have to give up our discounted Cdn tix, and buy PH, which we wouldn't normally buy). With 6 Disney adults....FD is probably the better deal. Are you getting more than one room at BLT? I saw other posters mention about doing two separate packages, one with a RO discount, and one with the deluxe dining plan (then sharing meals)

Thanks for your input. We're getting a 2 bedroom suite so I think it's highly unlikely that's we'll get a RO discount. We would move to CR but really like the kitchen and laundry option BLT provides (and my son and Mom want to stay there the most ). I think FD at a savings of roughly $2080 makes more sense since we're 6 adults. I'm glad we waited to purchase our Cdn tix.

Depending on the PH situation for FD, I have us saving about $1300 with reg US tix, $800 with PH, and $700 with PH plus from the price of BLT, DDP, and Cdn tix. But math was never my strong suit!!!

Been quiet and lurking for awhile but need to tell everyone that I just read something from Chip and Co. stating that despite the rumored April 24th release date--they "heard something today" that points to May 1--I hope they're wrong--I NEED IT TO DROP ALREADY!

Today I said to my husband, "If they give Mods the upgraded DP we can try to add an extra night to our trip!" He replied with, "I thought the whole point of you acting like a crazed maniac and booking FD at 4 AM was to save us money not figure out how to spend more?" :D:D:D:D:D
Oh wow!!! Thought my husband was the only one who said stuff like that, lol

A cast member told me today "early May"

I'm not part of the chat room...will Disney put it on their website at some ungodly hour? Is that the best way to find out?
My res already includes dining but no tickets. Will this be an issue?

I really appreciate all the help and advice! I've been watching this thread for what feels like forever!!

I didn't see the post where you said you have memory maker and insurance too. In order to keep all of this intact, I think you're just going to have to call.

Again, you have a couple options. Be up and on the phone at 7 am on Monday prepared for a long wait or wait about a week and then call in to see what is available. As people get what they want, there will be lots of cancellations, so more rooms open up, BUT you may have fewer choices if you wait.

It can be the debit card too. I have one and get all the discounts and early news as well.

The excitement and enthusiasm in this thread is amazing! FD isn't likely to save us the most money (2 adults staying at the Poly 9/13-9/22) we would be better off with a RO discount according to my internet research. However, something still makes me follow this thread and almost want FD myself, must be contagious!!

I could use some help/advice. This is my fourth time going in the last 5 years, I have always booked everything myself, although we did not go last year. We always go in September for 9 nights 10 days. And we have always stayed at CBR with FD. We are now looking at maybe going to Port Orleans Riverside or pop resort. Do you think they will be a huge price difference between the two ( counting on FD) we have never stayed at a value resort but if they are not offering the DD plan for mod resort though I think it might be better to stay at a value? We love CBR so much and I just don't want to be disappointed. My kids are 9 and 11. We usually do five days of parks and enjoying leisure time at the resort.

We also have to pay a horrible exchange rate as we are from Canada so every bit of savings helps. Thanks!
