I haven't signed up yet, but I'll be in for either the half or the challenge. Kinda waiting to see themes before I make the decision.

Old photo. And they have used random characters for the ads before (I remember a Princess ad with Aladdin and Jasmine, and they've never been the PHM theme). I wouldn't bank on a Lion King theme until more documentation comes out.

This is one of the reasons I LOVE DLH Weekend - the creative change of theme!

While I AM sad they took the Dumbo out of the Challenge, it does make me think that they've got something great in mind. And I'm SUPER glad I got my sweet little flapping-ear DDD medal this year.

Pixar has a HUGE presence at Disneyland. I would *die* if the races in 2017 were Pixar themed ... Toy Story, Cars, Bugs, Up, etc.

I'll definitely be registering for the Challenge. Very bummed about the name change though as I was "Perfectly Dumbo"! Has a nice ring to it.

I totally agree! It is probably my favorite medal. DH didn't go with me and is kicking himself now, he really wanted a Dumbo shirt and figured he could get it in 2017. I wonder if they had this planned for a while and that's why the medal was redesigned sooner than expected.

I hope they release the themes soon, it's hard to get excited for a race without the theme or atleast a hint of what it could be.

I start a new job in 2 weeks. Hoping I will be able to get a day off on that weekend so I can do it. Won't know for some time though so can't sign up till at least May

I'm looking into doing this race actually. Since we moved out west it is much closer than WDW, so less travel expenses would be a good thing, plus coast to coast medal looks awesome.
