Just looked at the half marathon course directional. Looks like we will be going into the sunrise. Didn't think about it, but might need to bring sunglasses for that.

I must be in uber-nerd mode because I read this and got really excited. Heard Yoda's voice and everything. Sooooo sad.

One thing I don't like about tech shirts with giant screened images is that the giant screened area does not breathe and ends up sticking to you.

So true! I'm used to large logos on the front of shirts, but a couple of months ago, I did a run using a race shirt with giant images on the BACK. It wasn't even that warm out, but my back was soaked.

I don't care, though, because these shirts look great. If I were low on packing space, I'd feel free to leave all other shirts out of my suitcase.

The busses are 3rd party folks .... they may be a couple minutes early, but they'll be closer to a 9:30 start

My BFF is texting me from the merch line - she took a cab to the expo and got there at 9:15. Expo was already open!! She's not impressed.

I don't think you're missing anything by the early opening. I'm sure a line was developing early, and it's better to start moving people through than to just let the line build, forcing everyone to wait longer.

Do you need to stand in that line even if you are only going to pick up your shirts? My plan for tomorrow was to hit the merchandise first thing, exit the building to get my bib, and then come back in to get my shirts and gear bag. As popular as these things have become I am surprised that RD has not figured out a way to set up one huge tent that would just be for race merchandise. They have plenty of space out there to do it.
