I eat a Honey Stinger Waffle (caramel, yum!) an hour before a long run (8 miles or longer). Then I carry a mix of candy corn, plain m&m's and broken pretzels. I usually eat 3 candy corn, 3 m&m's and 3 pieces of pretzel at 3 miles, then every 3 miles after that, depending on how long my run is. So my baggie is 9 candy corn, 9 m&m's and maybe 2 broken up pretzels. Then after my run I finish of the packages that I took them out of lol! Not really, but usually feel like it. I tried lots of things that upset my stomach and around Halloween I had that mix of candy in the house and it worked and didn't make me sick so I have stuck with it. Plus it's cheap!
