Aw!! I started panicking because I am paranoid that somehow, some way by registration is gonna be gone and lost. That is just the kinda luck I have!If first asked questions about my past visits, if I stayed on-property or off-property, and if my primary reason for going to WDW was for a rD event, or if I was already planning to go to WDW and chose to do a race along with my visit. Then it asked about what types of race events I'd be most interested in participating in in the future (5K, 10K, HM, Marathon, kids races, non-traditional races (15K, 10-miler), or obstacle races. Then it asked what themes were most attractive to me (Wine & Dine, Princess, Avengers, Star Wars, Tink) and if I'd be interested in other character races (villains, etc). After that, it asked about transporation interests (VIP access to the start, VIP corral placement), the Expo, and finally it asked about merchandise.

In reading how far everyone is going for their long runs, I'm right up there with you, 6 to 7 miles, but I'm walking. I have 2 months. Advice, please. I am getting stronger, but the speed just isn't there. Can I get some good advice on how to use these next two months to train to the very best of my advantage? Background, I just turned 60, am overweight, but have lost 20 pounds since September. I'd love to finish, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should set my goal a little lower. Right now I think, "Oh, I can get to the Magic Kingdom, no problem." Thanks in advance for everyone's support.
I want to find out about the medal too ! Also, no survey from RunDisney for me.
Need to buy my park tickets soon so we can pick out FP+. Flying in Thursday night before the race, hoping to do AK on Friday, MK for a little bit on Saturday (have lunch reservations at BOG), EP after the race on Sunday, MK on Monday and then maybe HS on Tuesday before flight out!

They all but confirmed that the theme is the Little Mermaid form the seashell motif on the registration tips, the "In Training" shirts and the "In Training" Cover photos they released on Facebook...
I know what you mean, especially with them already revealing the Star Wars medals (to boost sales maybe?)...and that race is after Princess!I just am wondering why they are pushing back all the info and reveals this year. Regardless, I am in the GSC so it really doesn't matter. It has just been a very rough two year preparing for this.
Jeff Galloway's half marathon app. I'm trying for 2-3 short days during the week, and then a long one on the weekend. Are you following any kind of training plan?
Thanks. I think you've hit the nail on the head. I need to concentrate on my shorter distances in building speed, which I haven't really pushed being more worried about distance. I'm using Jeff Galloway's half marathon app. Whatever my results, I feel better and healthier than I have in a long, long time.I am not a coach nor do I have any formal training to help you...but if you have just started this journey, good for you and it sounds like you are having great results.
The run is still over 8 weeks out and if you add about a mile a week for the next 6 then you will be up to 12, more than enough to finish. As far as speed (you can read about this on many runner sites) you need to add some faster shorter distances on your maintenance runs. Not knowing your daily schedule and how much time you have to train nor what program you are using it is hard to know how to help. Good luck on your training!

I think we can make good guesses as to what the medals would look like, but I'm hoping we'll see something official in early January. Otherwise I'm afraid they'll put it off until mid-January (after WDW Weekend and DLR Stars Wars weekend). I hope that doesn't happen!!![]()
I use the same app! I love it! I have bought quite a few and it is most definitely the best I have found so far! I LOVE that it changes the tempo of your music to meet the pace!!Jeff Galloway's half marathon app. I'm trying for 2-3 short days during the week, and then a long one on the weekend.
That would be the be an awesome Christmas present! Last year it looks like they were revealed around the first week of December.Marathon weekend medals came out in late October. Princess is about 6-7 weeks after marathon ... so I figure we'll see the medals within the next week or so. Hopefully I'm right.
Where do they reveal them at anyways? I have been checking the website, Twitter and Facebook.
