So how's training going everyone?![]()
Currently I am avoiding heading out into hot, humid nastiness by sitting and reading the discards

I do! I have one at my desk of my nieces, we also have a family one. So excited that there are less than six months left to wait!Happy September 1st everyone! We only need to change our calendars 5 more times until the month of Princess!
By the way does anyone even HAVE physical calendars anymore?? It seems everything is kept track in our phones now! We still have one family calendar hung up in the kitchen, and I just wrote the Jeff Galloway training program into it-- starts October 20!

I feel like the person who opened the can of worms. But I'm going to say that it's in my nature to need/want to know info like that. Just like I need to know which shoes I can run a long distance in, and which bras, etc; I plan on knowing where the sweeping points are as an FYI type thing. I can't speak for everyone- but I know I'm putting in the miles. I have the Wine and Dine coming up in 2 scant months and am on schedule to run my first long run of 13 miles somewhere in the next 3-5 weeks. But I also am a person for whom the unknown will drive more terror into my heart and brain that the known. So for me, while I don't plan to obsess on the sweeping persay- I have to be informed nonetheless. Like I said, that's just me though.
Can we go back to talking about bras for a moment. I am struggling with a rather painful, embarrassing issue right now. Over the last year I have lost about 30 lbs, and unfortunately some of that has been in the chest area. So, the bras that I was wearing have gotten too big. I am experiencing chaffing on the underside of my breasts. It's pretty uncomfortable. I've tried going to a smaller size bra which is helping, but not completely. I have also been using deodorant there. I'm thinking maybe I need some bodyglide, or something similar. Does anyone have any suggestions?
This ^^ @sperkins921I don't think anyone is saying there is something wrong with asking questions. I think what everyone was saying is that people have to be careful not to get too stressed out about it. It's easy to do, the closer it gets to race day!
I had the same thing - I still do but it's not as bad...Can we go back to talking about bras for a moment. I am struggling with a rather painful, embarrassing issue right now. I use body glide around the armhole area of tech shirts when I go running, and it helps wonders. I also find that spiorts bras with a thicker support band under the ribcage rarely chafe as much as ones with a thinner band.

I was gonna say to get re-sized, but you did...what kind of bras are you using? What's the sizing like? Getting a bra that had the band/cup sizing as opposed to just the S/M/L options really helped me. They sized me at 34D and I still had chafing until I tried the "sister size" 32DD. Having the smaller band helped because it wasn't rubbing on me so much. And BodyGlide helps too.
I hate bra shopping. So frustrating.
Maybe you're still not in the right size? Did someone actual size you, or did you just go down a size?
I find that the bra that used to fit may not be comfortable when your chest size changes. It may hit you somewhere it didn't before even if you're wearing a smaller size because your weight loss may show more in one area than another. I would try as others have said to try and get fitted. If you don't have a place to get fitted or if you are uncomfortable with that then perhaps you could try different brands on your own and see what works. Bra shopping sucks but chafing sucks more. Can we go back to talking about bras for a moment. I am struggling with a rather painful, embarrassing issue right now.
