Official 2016 Princess Half Marathon Thread

I did a trial run when the DVC registration opened for the Star Wars races several weeks ago. I logged into the DVC site, went to the runDisney link under Special Offers which took me to the runDisney site. Once registration opened I selected the race I wanted and then logged into my Active.com account. Not to say you can't log into your Active.com account first, but that is the way I did it and it worked just fine. Hopefully it will work as smoothly tomorrow as it did before.

For anyone who flys Southwest, they just released flights this morning for Princess Weekend (through March 8th)! I am booked Fri Feb 12 - Mon Feb 22!!!

Since we are going our school vacation flight prices just get higher here so I book as soon as I see them. I had a dream last night they sold out before I saw them , woke up at 4:20 & checked & they weren't on sale yet. We fly to Disney on my daughter's 18th birthday, so this trip has been planned for a few years!!

If you are signing up for GSC, do you just register for that or do you have to register for that and then the races separately?

I just updated the info in Post #1 to show that for the GSC you only need to register once, not separately for both races. If you register separately for the 10K and the Half, you will not receive the Glass Slipper Challenge tee & medal.

Does active.com take American Express? As luck would have it, I am currently on hold with Chase Disney visa due to fraudulent activity on our account. I prefer not to use our check card visa, so AMEX is my next choice!

Just requested to join the FB group! I am on pins and needles waiting for AP registration to open. I can't focus on anything! Workers just showed up at 9am to install plantation shutters on three of my windows. Not great planning on my part, but I was just so excited to take down the hideous shades/curtains the previous owners had installed. They seem to be working quickly so hopefully they will be gone before I have to start the registration process!

Acclaim travel sent an email out. They'll start their sales at the same time as DVC/ap. Minimum hotel stay but no ticket requirement. For those who don't qualify for today's presale but want to get it done!

Rats!! Of course, the new cards will arrive tomorrow. Someone was testing our card with very small charges in 2 separate transactions. I have to say, the Chase fraud department is on top of their game. I had an email and text message within 5 minutes of the charges being made, and they put a hold on the card right away.

I will have to take my chances and use my check card online!

Ok, so I'm using the AP link for the first time today (I've always used my DVC but my company chose today to block the site..seriously! ) So to make sure im on the right page to refresh. ..I logged into my MDE account and clicked the AP link. It sent me to a page with the girl in the pink jacket with rapunzel and Flynn. It has AP*benefits at the top and the races listed in the middle. Is this the correct page and eventually there will be a link?

That stinks, but I'm so glad they caught it! I have Chase cards too and they have caught fraud on mine before as well - I agree, they are on it!

Nope. You can get one if you want it, but it's only worth it (IMO) if you run a lot of races each year.

Awesome email for the Perfect Princesses...
They are reserving spaces for those that have run every race since the beginning (2009)! We have to register during a certain time frame.
