Official 2016 Princess Half Marathon Thread

I saw this too late! I left my house about 20 min before you posted and didn't think to bring them just in case. I have no idea what my plan is for the weekend (friends coming into town have not informed what we're doing yet haha). We are only running the half, so maybe sometime Saturday?
Keep me posted, super flexible!!!

On the plane heading for MCO right now! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! Got a great night sleep, except that it was from 7am - 2am so I am going to crash hard early tonight for sure.

Ed, you should have PM'd me!!! I would have grabbed stuff for y'all. Been in line for 35 mins though so not jumping out cause the line is growing....

I thought about it but after the amount of magnets that were left over from the Marathon Weekend I don't think that we will be good. Thanks for the offer. I am getting 2 10K, 2 half and 2 GSC large mouse ear magnets. Set for her and set for me. I do not know what other stuff she will want though

I saw one women closed-fist face punch another woman over a jacket. So, yes, I realize that perspective is everything - but it was a damned disaster this morning and no employee or manager cared. Not one.
Whoa! Over clothes! Some people are downright unstable. I hope security showed them the door.

Wow, what time did people start lining up?

I got there at about 9:15 and the Jostens line was about 75 people deep. We got let in at 9:30, as usual.

There is nothing Disney has that would ever be worth punching over.

Tomorrow morning hopefully will be less of a hot mess when we actually get there!

No joke. Definitely not a $79.95 jacket. I have to take my Mom back later to get her 5k bib, so hopefully it will have calmed down.

I'm keeping an eye on this for next year...I want to know what time the crazies have left. Like, if I plan to roll in at 3PM next year, will it be relatively empty?

My only PHM so far was in 2011 - runDisney was JUST starting to get really popular. The race was smaller and I remember the expo being crowded, but not insane. If there was some way to get the bib and race shirts without having to go into the expo, I;d do it in a heartbeat for this race weekend (though I know they won't do that since they want people to be in the expo and shop).

I hope so too. I also would like to see the merchandise be available to order at sign up. It would take away most of the craziness. One could actually enjoy all aspects of the weekend.

I don't know about 3 PM, but I was there at around 7 PM last year and it was no problem.
Then again, I didn't hear about any fistfights last year, so it might be different this year.

I could totally see myself doing that next year...eating dinner and then grabbing a bus afterward to get there for the last 30-60 minutes of the expo. It's like @Dis_Yoda said, the merch is just not worth it!!

Star Wars definitely handled the merchandise better. You wait in a ballroom upstairs in your line was let downstairs and monitored as you got in. It was busy but no crazies!

I was just thinking about that for Tink weekend coming up. Not sure how/if WDW could do something similar. :confused3
