Official 2016 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread

Hello, Long time reader, first time writer. Very excited, managed to get 2 tickets/bibs for the 5K. Can I ask those who have participated before, do you know the sizing of the t-shirts? Does anyone have an M, L and /or XL they might be able to measure for me? And do we have an option of exchanging at the expo if we have ordered incorrectly? I'm assuming not!

Good news! You absolutely can exchange the shirts at the Expo. I'm at work so measuring is not an option but I've found the sizes to run true-to-(ever so slightly) big. Meaning, I normally wear a Men's large T-shirt and, while the past 5K shirts seem a little bigger than other Men's Large shirts I have, they aren't big enough to go down to a Men's Medium.

For what it's worth, the past couple of years Hanes has been the 5K shirt provider. So, if you have any other Hanes shirts at home you'll have an idea of the size.

I usually order a size smaller than usual in the 5k shirts, since they are unisex. The tech shirts they give out for the other distances seem to be true to size. I usually get an S in the 5k shirt and a women's M in the tech (half marathon etc).

I don't know the sizing but you can exchange it at the expo if it doesn't fit while supplies last. You should have no problem exchanging it though since you have to go to the expo on Thursday so they should have plenty then.

I'm running, it will be my first half . I'm working up to a 10k in two weeks and hoping to get proof of time, it's also a good kick start to my training program. I am very excited to finally be doing one of these!

Hotel question for a Disneyland newbie! We have some points we would like to use at the Holiday Inn & Suites Anaheim. My research shows this was included in the Anaheim Resort transportation for the race events but everything seems to be a bit old! Anyone have experience staying here for a recent race? It's a much better deal cost wise so I would hate to miss the deal but also would hate to be in an awful position for getting to the race. Thanks in advance!

It still should be included. If not one of those hotels in that area will be so it would be just a matter of a walk next door.

Subscribing to thread.... DH and I are running the half. Just finished Star Wars dark side at wdw last week and going for the coast to coast medal doing the DL half . We did the DL half last year and I have to say all of the course that is outside of the park thru Anaheim is way better then running the streets of wdw when out of there parks! The city and people of Anaheim had so much along the entire course and of course running they angel stadium was awesome and just the energizer needed to finish strong ! Can't wait!

The hotels on the ART line should have transportation if I remember correctly. They drop you off at the bus station and you walk through downtown Disney to get to start.

And you can use ART all weekend long if you pick up bus passes at the runDisney transportation info desk at expo. It's usually in the lobby not in the main expo area.

I can't remember if a list was in the event guide or not. Good question. I'll check my old one!

That is what I was thinking esp since there is not another RD race between now and then. And it hasn't sold out!
Now I want to see the full summer short series medals too!

Training starts tomorrow! I feel like I am starting completely over because I have been in a boot for a month and unable to run for nearly two. I try not to dwell on the fact that I ran 26.2 just a few months ago and am now worried about three tomorrow.

You may still be able to switch shirt sizes if you edit your race registration on active.com.
