Hope everyone enjoyed the race today! The weather was perfect for me. Mid-60s and cloudy with a light breeze. The course was nice, too, I thought. The park sections at the beginning were great, but I just don't have the emotional connection to DL that I do with WDW. The off-property sections were ok, but the local support (dancing kids in traditional garb, marching bands, cheerleaders, etc) really helped break up the monotony. The 3/4 mile or so of classic cars was neat, too. The highlight for me was running into and around the field at Angels Stadium and seeing myself on the Jumbotron. At a point in the race when energy and enthusiasm are flagging it really provided a nice boost of energy.
Out of curiosity, did it seem like the mile markers were off, though, for most of the race? I was hitting mile markers significantly ahead of my Garmin tracking and that never happens! Also, did it seem like water stations were really backloaded on the course? After Angels Stadium it felt like there was one around every corner! Not a complaint, it just seemed weird!
All in all, a great weekend of running. Still hope to run into some of you guys before we scatter to the winds again.
