Yeah. @Keels told me it would be like that about a month ago and I didn't believe her. But when I was picking up my bib the person in front of me asked why hers didn't have a corral listed - sure enough, no corral letter on the bib. The volunteer was like, "it's a fun run, you all start together!" I'm guessing it's due to starting IN the park?

My friend ran the 5K this morning and said she somehow ended up in "Corral A" or maybe the first wave of participants. It only was received via text and she's since gone back to sleep... so I don't have any more details. Anyone else can clarify maybe?


It seems like most of you for the 10K are in further up corrals than me, so I wish you a speedy and great race. I'll be just behind you in corral D.

Yes I hope everyone had fun at the 5k and enjoys tomoroww's 10k. I'll be there early Saturday morning for expo then I'm ready for the 1/2! I'm enjoying the pictures keep 'em coming!

There were 4 corrals for the 5K, based solely on when you arrived. A was up on the right side of the hub near Tomorrowland. B was to the left, near Adventureland. C went down Main Street. D was in the Town Square.

It made for some harried rush of faster people coming up behind us for long periods, which you don't get normally. But not too bad.

The cross body Dooney was gone. Plenty of totes and wristlets left - but not interested. Yeah - eBay has quite a few. Oh well. Just happy to be in a good corral. I'll check again tomorrow to see if maybe they found another box.

Oh, okay. Yeah, I saw those too. Didn't look like close to sell out on those, by there were definitely far more totes. I guess I just missed the next rush that really wanted those crossbodies?

My fingers are crossed for some pixie dust for you!

Sounds like if we do the 5k and PDC next year it may be best to just decide to walk the 5k and run the PDC? I was looking at video on instragram of the start and looked like maybe everyone just walked it, even those in very front of the race corral? Maybe someone can fill me in who was there if there were runners too. (FYI: I'm not anti-walker...I like to do both...just figuring out for next years game plan. - also if I can rope my mom into going we would walk that one anyway

Nah, it spread out. The first couple of minutes were crowded but after that it was great.

Granted, I somehow ended up in "corral A" so it may have been different for others.

Good! I'd say almost perfect for a shorter run. A little toasty at times but I liked it.

That was.. an interesting experience. I've never been in a race where 80% of the people walk the whole way? Corrals seemed a bit crowded.

BUT.... had a great time and got the 1:22 finish time. Two minutes slower than I'd hoped but despite the rain and myriad of walkers, I think it's pretty darn good

I took my sweet time and came in around 1:40ish...pretty much right at 16:00/mile (not due to injury, just wanted to really take my time and soak it all in). Can't say I didn't get my money's worth!

Does the $39 photopass just give you the pics for one race day? So I would need to buy one for the 10k and one for the half?

Had a fun race in the 10k today- rain did make it a bit slick, but my costume held up well (Kylo Hook), if a but steamy by the end.

With the rain I wasn't surprised to see so many walkers.

There were a couple of places where I felt my feet start to slip (the Hollywood part of CA was the worst). It definitely made me a lot more cautious throughout the whole race.

This was the first time I actually ran an entire race - normally I pause to walk and do intervals, but I did the ENTIRE 10K as a run. This race has changed my confidence because the amount of people and crowding caused me to want to keep moving and going faster - I am so so so so happy I did this!
