"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I'm trying to decide if I want to meet Jack & Sally. I kinda gave up on the other big ones, because I don't want to wait. Maybe later. But I met Jack two years ago in Disneyland, and Sally left right before me. So I don't know. I'd like to meet them all but I'm going on Halloween and I feel like we'll be wanting to do lots of other things. I really want to see the dance party. Is that fun for adults? I never bothered with them.
We are not huge Nightmare Before Christmas fans, but we had so much fun meeting Jack and Sally anyway. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and had our buttons on - Jack pointed out how "Horrifyingly awful!!!" that must be.

We watch the dance parties for a bit - we like to ride the PeopleMover toward the end of the party and you can get a good view of the Monsters dancing. We don't participate in the dancing, but it's cute to see (it takes maybe 5 minutes out of our night.)

Has anyone seen how long the Hocus Pocus show will be? Trying to figure out if you can watch that and make it in time for the parade in Frontierland. Also, anyone have any comments on Hallowishes as compared to Wishes? Taking my 4 year old for the first time and not sure he will last for the fireworks honestly.

I'm a Wishes fanatic, but Hallowishes is better! Definitely see it if you can!

Yes, the trails are one way only

First time posting so forgive me for a possible obvious question.

On the map I see the trick or treat locations however I do not see a "trail or path", nor mention of the one way direction.

Can someone elaborate on the Trick or Treat trails exactly? Can you not just go from point to point on the map and any order?

Thanks - love the forum and keep up the good work Smitch!

PS This will be our first time doing the MNSSHP and were going the 20 and 22 of October.

They're really obvious one you are there - I've never had to think about it. There are signs - I believe they are pumpkins? - that indicate trick or treating and lead you right where you will want to go.

The trails have multiple places to get candy within the same area. They're generally self-contained areas where you wouldn't really think to go the other way (maybe the one from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland is an exception, but, again, they are clearly marked when you're at the party). You can go to the trails in whatever order you want.

The Treat Trails flow like a line and run through a small area. They move quickly, but if crowded can take a little time to get through them. There will usually be several treat stations along this line. The entrance is marked with a big pumpkin sign and CMs will direct you where to enter. You can go through all the lines as many times as you want.

:welcome:

Most every treat stop is free standing. In the past, there have been a couple of trails with a few stops in a row. The Fantasyland trail in the past has started in Fantasyland and followed the path to Tomorrowland. You will be able to see the treat stops from a distance by the way they are marked. It will be obvious as to what to do once you are there. :)

I'm probably in the minority here but I just love:love:MNSSHP popcorn buckets popcorn::
Has anyone heard talk of the popcorn bucket design/character for MNSSHP 2015?

My hitching ghost Mickey popcorn bucket sits next to my computer at work. Coworkers are so confused by it's presence year round, not just at Halloween :rotfl2:

As a collector, I'm dying to know what they do this year. Hopefully it's a new one!

So when do we get the special bands that show we're attending MNSSHP? We don't have paper tickets; we were told they are on our Magic Bands. Do we get the special MNSSHP band when we enter the park that morning?

Party tickets will be scanned starting at 4pm. You will get your wristband and bag at that time. There will be locations scattered throughout the park. No need to exit and return.

I see that POTC is not on the rides list. It's normally open for the parties right? If it opens later this month like it's supposed to will they update the maps I guess? Or will it not be open for the parties at all?

And please note that the wristband is just a wristband like you'd get at a waterpark or an outdoor concert. There's nothing "special" about it and it's not another MB or anything like that. It's just an easy visual cue for CMs to identify party ticket holders without having to scan a MB or physical ticket.

Thanks, so I assume the locations will be clearly marked? Sorry, I'm a planning freak. 8-)

If you look at the bottom left hand corner of the leaked map, it has a "MNSSHP 2015 v1" on it--as in Version 1. There are several versions of the map that come out during the season depending on ride closures, etc.

Looking at last year's map it also just said Splash Mountain with no mention of a trail but there was a trail. Perhaps this year is the same? Thanks Smitch for all your work!

Ah ha, that's what I was looking for. Thanks.
