"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

During the first party 09/15, Disney websites lists Splash Mountain as open until 7pm and Space Mountain opens until 12:00am for those with tickets. Splash Mountain is not under refurb. Is there any reason why it won’t be opened during the party?

The past 2 years, they've used the queue for a trick or treat trail.

they had a trick or treat queue next to it, but we rode Splash Mt at two different parties last year in Sept.
Yes, the trick or treat trail is in the outside part of the queue, but that is the only reason why it won’t be opened during the party that I can think of.

Thanks for your thoughts....I'm going to add the buttons....Yes, some of the DB outfits I've seen are just cute for anytime imo (I might have to be told who someone is) and others are more obvious.
I agree, add the buttons! It's a Halloween party, err on the side of more costume! (within comfort of course!)

I'm probably in the minority here but I just love:love:MNSSHP popcorn buckets popcorn::
Has anyone heard talk of the popcorn bucket design/character for MNSSHP 2015?

My hitching ghost Mickey popcorn bucket sits next to my computer at work. Coworkers are so confused by it's presence year round, not just at Halloween :rotfl2:

OOOH I want to know too! Have my display up now of Mickey pumpkin T or T bucket, Halloween Mickey and Miniie, 2 different "regular" Halloween buckets and HM Mickey! Don't think the family will go for me keeping it up year round though.

It's my favorite ride. It'd be so sad if it was to be closed because of candy

dumb question, but the map states that the 7 Dwarves will be at the "fantasyland" wall.... My son has just developed a fascination with them. Where exactly is the "fantasyland wall?"

Also, is the line for the 7D really that long? Because I know neither my 4 year old or husband will want to stand in a lengthy line for them... but I would love to see them. Wondering if I should wait to take a pic with them at the end of the party?

Also: so far, this is my plan:

arrive at 4- fastpass for HM from 3:10-4:10 (this is all I could get, I am going to try to change it)
4:10-5:10 - TMRR
5:10-6:10 Splash Mountain
What rides do you recommend we try to hop on in between those in that general vicinity?

After finish with Splash Mountain, we are going to grab a quick service bite. Any recommendations? Was thinking of starting the party in Fantasyland.

We will watch the early parade... where is the best time for this? Should we stick around adventureland/frontierland and keep riding those rides until after the parade and head to fantasy land after that?

(this is our first MNSSHP)

Also, our 4 year old is a party animal, so I am thinking he will be good till the later hours. :)

what about Magic Carpets? (I'd also say Pirates if it is back up and running for your trip). Jungle Cruise, Swiss Tree House?

or go to Fantasyland and Small World, maybe Peter Pan, Mickeys Philharmagic is a great show!

And/Or go back to the front and get a Halloween Mickey picture with your group, then watch the parade from there? Hit Buzz, maybe the People Mover in Tomorrowland then Fantasyland after (best bet for Fantasyland to thin out is the later in the evening you can make it). Our success at riding 7 D last year was during the fireworks, but it was our second party so we were ok with that.

The "fantasyland wall" is a random wall in the middle of Fantasyland that kinda demarcates the original Fantasyland from New Fantasyland. It's essentially between the carousel and 7DMT. You can't miss it.

The line for the 7Ds is long for most of the night. We've had success meeting them with as little as a 20 minute wait during the first parade. If your kids can make it late for the second parade, I'd recommend skipping the first and instead line up for the 7Ds and watch the second parade. The line gets cut near the end of the night so if you want to do them last, you'll have to make sure you get in line before it's cut. I'd suggest no later than 11:00.

There really are no other rides in that area. You could maybe backtrack to IASW, or pop over to Adventureland and try Jungle Cruise and POTC. I'd probably just skip that first FP+ or change it to something in Fantasyland and do the rides there when you arrive instead, and then hit the HM after Splash. The SB lines are typically very short between 6 & 7, and the last FP+ window closes at 6:30, so you won't be competing with FP+ riders in that last half hour, so the lines move pretty quickly.

Is there a limited number of pins available at each party or is there a chance they will sell out before the later parties even start?

I keep trying to remove that fast pass for HM and I can't get it off. Do I just not show up then? I suppose that is what I would have to do? there are no other FP available.

Also, i am still trying to get acquainted with abbreviations, what is SB?

What is the best spot in Frontierland/Fantasyland to view the parade?

(because we are more into short lines for attractions)
