"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Soo....I can make FP reservations with my party ticket? We aren't going to a park that day, just the party....I didn't think I could make FP res with the halloween ticket?? I will be so happy if I can!!! Fingers crossed!!! We went over MLK weekend and it was soo crowded we didn't get to do anything more than once.....hoping to ride a few favorites more than once!!! (Buzz, Winnie the pooh, Peter pan);) love this thread!!!

Question: what gets cancelled if it rains? Do they cancel the parade, the stage show and the M&G that are outside?

If I add a red wig, do you guys think it's similar enough to Ariel's pink ballgown for people to make the connection?

If it's pouring, they will cancel the parade and move as many of the outdoor M&Gs indoors as they can. If it's a drizzly night in which it rains on and off, the parade will likely go on during a break in the weather, but the Headless Horseman won't ride.

I'd love to have my DD meet the Seven Dwarfs, and I'd love any advice on how to minimize wait time. How early could/should I line up for them? I'd like to do this first thing at the party. Thanks!

Does this work if you make fast passes for earlier in the day if you'll be in the park all day? I would venture to say probably not but I can dream

You would have to order the tickets via phone and NOT LINK the tickets to MDE. Then you could go to the kiosks when you get to the park to make additional FP+ reservations. Or you would have to create a dummy account for the MNSSHP tickets that in no way links to your regular MDE account to be able to pre-book the extra three FP+ reservations that afternoon.

The line for them typically begins around 5:30, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a little later. But the nice thing is you don't end up wasting any actual party time during that wait. And you'll be done soon after the party kicks off at 7.

As previous poster said, the line up usually starts around 5:30. A good thing is to stay in New Fantasyland and keep an eye on the line. As soon as you see it, jump in and wait for that great meet and greet!

Does the whole family have to wait in line or can just one person hold a spot in line for the group?

Even though I do the Christmas thread I will say that I love Hollo-wishes it's perhaps one of the best firework shows ever - it totally sets the mood and atmosphere for a Halloween Party.

So you guys think the villains will be back for meet and greets since theirs no soirée?

Very excited for our first Halloween party! It was going to be a surprise for the kids, but I'm going to tell them when we tell them about the trip...it will make the costume planning so fun!

My hubby won't wear a costume, but he has agreed to wear a costume shirt. I've ordered a Chewbacca one...we'll do a Star Wars theme ....I think

There are five of us:
DH, Me, ODD (7.5), YDD (5), DS (22 mo)

I originally thought the girls would be R2D2 & C-3PO, and boy would be Yoda or Darth Vader. ODD has said she would be DV, DS could be Han Solo since hubs is Chewy, or Yoda, and I could be Solo...or Leia....:confused3

Any suggestions on a character line up for us? I'm so excited, I want to start getting costumes ready!!

Maybe if you add the really puffy sleeves, though when I think of Ariel her pink ball gown is the last outfit that comes to mind. When I first saw the pic it instantly reminded me of Cinderella's mother's dress that the step sisters ripped up.

All of the reports of the Villains Soiree going away also seem to indicate that something similar will replace it. So even if there isn't a Villains Soiree, it doesn't automatically mean the villains M&Gs go back to how they were two years ago.

I'm leaning towards doing the first party of the season....does it usually sell out if so how far in advance?

Although I can't recall ever seeing any fireworks shows at Disney (with an uninterested group or too young), I'm excited to be able to see pretty much every park's end shows, especially since everyone seems to really love the MNSSHP version. Also, it's been about 13 years since I last went trick-or-treating and it'll be nostalgic. For my boyfriend, he's NEVER gone trick-or-treating since he's from South America. I have to teach him the ropes before we have kids of our own to dress up and feed candy to. It may only be May now but I'm so excited for the trip and for MNSSHP in general!

Not sure about the MNSSHP but I was at the first MVMCP last year and I was first online at 5:30 PM while DW and DD went on some rides. They appear just past the castle to the right in front of the Fantasyland wall next to 7DMT. They came out right at 7 and my DD and DW were back by 6:45. It was great because that was the main attraction for us as it is our Christmas Card every year. This year may be different since I am going to the Halloween party on Halloween and the 1st Christmas Party and now MY DD wants to see Jack and Sally more than the Dwarfs, so priorities changed for where I line up first.
