"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I'm really worried about the money so much. I am worried about them selling out though! About how long before I have to really worry?
Another minor concern is the crowd level. But I guess if both nights sell out, then it doesn't much matter.

Last year Halloween night sold out on the 21st of August. Hope that helps!

Apologies if this has already been asked...but I've never been to MNSSHP...is it all about the parades and characters? I was kinda hoping this would also be a time when ride wait times would be low...or are they even running? Clueless :) I was thinking of doing a trip around this time...and maybe not buying a park ticket for that day, but Just the MNSSHP ticket and going in at night...is that a good idea? We would probably only have one other MK day other than that...so would be nice to do some rides too..but it seems like there is a lot of other fun stuff happening...I'd be with my DD who is 9...not sure how late she would last either...

I haven't been to the Halloween party, but have been to the Christmas one. For a lot of people, it is about the characters and shows, so the ride lines are generally short. That is what I do - do not visit a park that day, until the party. Your ticket allows you entry at 4 PM, and you can make FP reservations from 4 - 7 before the party starts. We got several rides done, mostly before the party, but we stayed until midnight, riding Pirates and the Jungle Cruise after the 2nd parade with no waits. Maybe sleep in that day, do some relaxing by the pool, and she will make it later!

SO how many of us (me!) are watching for the announcement for the "party inside the party"? I just have to think with the new Wishes viewing areas, Disney is going to have something extra to use that space. I have been obsessively checking for announcements. I know last year the Villain's Soiree wasn't announced until late, but everything seems to be happening "in advance" at WDW these days, so I'm just waiting....popcorn::

my system was ride rides first and meet characters. Miss the first parade because littler kids leave after the first parade. Second Parade is less crowded. (also don't for get about the halloween photos you get with the ghost. You can only get them at the party!) We hit all the candy spots on our way out from the back of the park... last 30-45 mins. We did this both parties we did and we NEVER waited in candy lines that you see at the beginning of the night. We weighed our candy before we left and there was 4 of us from 2 parties and I'm not sure my mom even got candy but we had 10lbs. They are very gracious. They gave handfuls LOL Most of the rides are still going. :) Worth the fun for us!!

My first 2 parties we just wondered around aimlessly in awe, and did whatever lol But this year, I have a plan!! We aren't doing MK in the day like we did previously (talk about a looooong day!), we are taking it easy in the day and heading out to be in by 4 or 5. I had no clue where Jack and Sally M&G were last year and not sure if they were there 5 years ago, but I am getting in line EARLY this year. I have been reading up on MNSSHP "strategies" this time around and finding them all very helpful. I already told my daughter that I'm hitting the line for Jack and she told me to have fun. LOL She's 18 so she can wonder around on her own if she wants. She's not as stoked about J & S like I am, so it maybe me going early and her meeting me there later. I learned of some less crowed viewing spots for the parade so we'll plan for those. Last year even the late parade seemed crowded were we were, I was feeling really squished. I'm excited for the new Villains show! We didn't hit any of the character M & G's last 2 times, just stopped to take a look when we saw them. I will get an extra map this year! I think we'll pass on most of the treat trails, but hit one or two. There will be enough Halloween goodies I want to try, I won't need extra candy! LOL Do they ever give out a lot!

We went on Halloween in 2012. We were with three 2 year olds and a 5 year old. We did get a picture with the 7 dwarfs and did a candy trail. We walked into the whole thing sort of blind. We weren't really planning on watching the parade, but when we were done with th candy trail by Splash Mountain people were getting ready for the parade. We got a great spot right in front of Splash Mountain just one layer back from the rope. I think we'll try to watch it from the same spot this year!

Are fast passes offered for this event? If yes, does that mean you also get your FPs with your regular park admission earlier in the day?

you can get fp between 4 and 7pm after 7pm there are no fast passes. Your mnshhp lets you in at 4pm.

You cannot prebook FPs with your MNSSHP ticket if you have already prebooked elsewhere for that day.

Planning on going Oct 20, as it is my Bday. No other plans for the day except to relax and hopefully have a nice dinner. Is it stupid to consume time and make an ADR during the party ? I guess I could schedule a nice lunch somewhere instead if needed. Never been to MNSSHP. Also, can adults tot or is it just for kids? This is a kid free visit for us LOL THANKS :)

To maximise party time it's best not to have an ADR during the party... plus you'll find most MK restaurants will be closed during party time. However you can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4 with your party ticket, so you could make a reservation between 4 and 7. That way you'll be able to have a sit down dinner and not waste party time... but be aware people start queueing up for the most popular characters around 6.... Again, better to waste an hour of pre-party time queueing, than an hour of party time. Hope that helps!

It's a fun (and relatively comfy costume), I did that for the Villains Unleashed party at DHS.

That's awesome, and exactly what I want to do:maleficen Do they have the original Maleficent out during the party? DD8 is thinking about doing the same thing as me and she also has a Maleficent costume for her build a bear, so I thought it would be neat to get a pic with the "3" of us and Maleficent.

She has been out previous years but last year she was pulled from the park for a separately ticketed dessert party in the castle. So you needed to pay for the dessert party in addition to MNSSHP admission to be able to see her.

Disney haven't announced if this event will go ahead again this year, so she may be in the park, she may not. It's too early to tell.

Thanks for the info...whats the opinion on a Sunday vs. a Tuesday? I definitely do not want to waste any time on eating, as I plan on eating lots and lots of sugar that evening anyway LOL. I'm thinking either a lunch prior, maybe at Kona or WCC or just doing Sunday for the party and have my Bday Dinner at California Grill .

Hello
I just bought our tix for Sunday 10/25/15> I was wonder what the time line fro this party is. When are the parades, villain show, fireworks??? And what are ppls suggestions with a 4 yr old and a 14 month old.

I just decided to add this party to our trip and haven't done much research on it. I was am hoping to get dinner at BOG that night, what time would you do dinner, I was thinking early.

I had everyday planned out with when and where I wanted to make dining reservations then decided to do this as well LOL. I Think I just like the planned and wanted to re do everything last minuet LOL
