Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

So - last training update from me until after the race on Sunday!

My final run went HORRIBLY. Like, abysmal. I started out too fast, felt a pain in my calf, and then it started pouring.

I had to hide out under a bridge and ultimately cut my run short because I wear Inov-8s without socks (I know, I know ...), and the last thing I need is wet shoes and blisters before Sunday.

To make matters worse, I got fitted for new Inov-8s in correct sizes (I was born with a clubfoot and have had several reconstructive surgeries, but I'm still a 5.5 left foot and an 8 right foot in shoe sizes), that were supposed to arrive today. They did, but they were mens sized. So, that stinks too.

Oh well. This can only mean Sunday's run will be amazing, right??

Unfortunately the weather is out of our control, but you can treat the rest as a learning experience. Now on Sunday, you will know not to start out too fast :thumbsup2

You'll do great on Sunday. Don't panic too much about your time for your first one, try to relax and enjoy the experience

Thanks!!! I'm all packed and finally ready ... I've moved past the nervousness stage into the excited stage! Plus, I'm ready just to get to New Orleans - one of my favorite places on the planet!

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Just a quick reminder:

TOMORROW JANUARY 27th IS EARLY REGISTRATION FOR AP Holders.

Maybe. At least that's what the Disney AP site says.

I saw the same thing on the WDW AP site just now! :)

I'm so nervous!! LEMME IN!!

I assume, following past registrations, the fun will start at:

9:00am PST
10:00am MST
11:00am CST
12:00PM EST

Get those trigger fingers ready! Oh and one super secret tip just for my friends here: To speed things up, pre-load your CC# into your clipboard so you can just paste it in when needed. Seconds saved can make all the difference.

Super excited! Will the link just appear when I login to my Disney account? Or is there some email that goes out with a code for AP holders?

You log into the AP section...there's a link there to a special Annual Passholder page on runDisney.com. The links will appear there. :)

Thank you for this tip!!

I did a my Boston Medley registration this morning and could've used this tip!!
but I did get in.

Good luck to all tomorrow with the Active.com site. I remember last year for the WDW marathon weekend, Active.com keep crashing and it a was very frustrating experience.
