Official 2015 Disneyland Half Marathon Thread.

Good luck to everyone registering today - I'm super jealous!!

And thanks for all the well wishes - I had a BLAST this weekend, and beat my goal time by almost 9 minutes!! I'm working on my review for my blog and I'll post the link here when I'm done.

Now, the debate begins - 5k and Half? Or DDD? Ack!

So disappointed that I missed out on the DDD. I got in as soon as they opened and tried to type as quickly as I could but got to the end and then got the limit met. :sad1:

The AP link was late this morning.....causing a lot of stress.

Finally got it...and DH and myself are in. It will be 9yr running this race for us.

just curious...anyone that got in DDD, did you use DVC or AP early registration?

The DVC link didn't work for me until about 12:15 which at that point DDD already sold out.

What a cluster. I didn't get DDD. I am so bummed. Like someone else, it was in my cart when I finished check out it said "registration limit check failed for desired event."

So irritated that links weren't up and working at 9.

I did the Star Wars Half and wanted the DDD for my birthday present to myself. I'm really upset.

Guess I'll try at regular onsale, but I do not have high hopes.

Krista

Did anyone else register a kid for one of the kids' races? I filled out all his information when registering, but now looking at it on active.com it's showing my name and information. Is that normal, or did I screw something up?

AP for me...started refreshing at 11:55EST and got lucky.

Congrats to everyone who got in this morning :goodvibes

Commiserations to those who were unsuccessful on this attempt. Good luck for general registration.

With a LOT of stress and some help from a facebook group, I managed to get DH and I registered for the half and the 5k :thumbsup2

Keels, congrats on your great time! Can't wait to read all about it :goodvibes

Beat your goal time?! That's gotta be a great feeling! Congrats! :goodvibes

AP for me. Started refrershing early at a couple of the webpages. But this was the one that popped the links up first a couple of minutes before the set time: https://www.rundisney.com/annual-passholders/. Was in and out in three minutes (only registering myself).

It really is far too stressful a process at 3:30am... Now it's nearly 5am and I'm far too wired to go back to bed :rotfl:

I guess it's good training for race day :lmao:

And FYI for anyone that has not registered yet - they did NOT ask for a proof of time. They asked if you thought you'd finish in 3:20, 3:25, 3:30...and you'd click a box.

Then there was a box for if you think you'll finish in under 3:15. If you click that, you click another box acknowledging that you'll need to provide proof of time at a later date. That's different from what I remember for other races, so I thought that was interesting. :confused3

I was REALLY proud of myself! I'd wanted to finish in under 1:30, ended up finishing in 1:21! For a moment there, I was on pace for a 1:18 finish (that's my goal for my 10K here in Fort Worth in February), but I dialed it down a little bit so I could finish strong.

My fastest 10K training run previous to this was 1:27, so ... yeah, thank you Race Day Adrenaline!!
