Agreed, that was impressive. He was gracious in the interviews. He also let "Ipod" hug him way too long. I realize "Ipod" idolizes Shaun White but dude needs to realize that Shaun just lost and doesn't want to hug the new gold medal winner for more than 1.5 seconds.

I thought the same thing. I think more highly of Shaun White, non medalist at the Sochi games, than I did of his previous climbs to the top of the podium.

I do overlook Ipod's enthusiasm. He seemed genuinely surprised and grateful for his good fortune & I enjoyed watching (when I wasn't having panic attacks they were going to slam their heads into the wall.)

Shaun White was on the Today Show this morning. Classy guy with a wonderful attitude! I was looking at the pic above of Meryl Davis...or at least trying to. She is so bizarre looking to me. Honestly I have a hard time looking at her face. She is by no means "ugly", but she is strange to me. I;m sure I;ll be blasted for my thoughts now LOL.

Shaun White also met a little boy from my hometown with leukemia (his Make a Wish wish). Shaun still keeps in regular contact with him and the little boy's family said Shaun has been awesome to get to know.

I would say Meryl White is unique looking. I think the hairstyles typically worn by figure skaters (pulled back in a tight bun) are not flattering to her face, nor is the heavy makeup. IMHO, she's much more attractive with her hair down.

Yay...I wasn't sure if I should say anything since everyone won't have see it...she was fantastic!

Don't know if I really agree with the medal winners in pairs...I'll be interested to hear what everyone thinks after seeing it tonight.

Another feel good story: Canadian speed skater Gilmore Junio qualified to race today when the favourite Denny Morrison fell at the the Canadian Olympic trials. Yesterday Junio gave his spot in the race to Morrison because he thought he had a better chance of winning then cheered as Morrison raced to a silver medal this morning. Morrison is now lobbying for Junio to be the flag bearer at the closing ceremony because he showed true Olympic spirit.

I think she kind of looks like the real-life version of Princess Jasmine, especially in her Scheherazade routine costume. She has the same long black hair and wide set almond shaped eyes.
