Anyone have any special Easter plans???
Our dd16 is in Guatemala on a missions trip so we did our Easter meals last weekend. DH and I just got back from an overnight stay at a local spa and mineral pool so we are relaxed and ready to enjoy a nice quiet weekend. It's nice to have all the family meals but ocassionally it's REALLY nice to NOT have all the fuss and running around. So this year we are going to relax to the max this weekend.
I have kind of a strange question. Is anyone going the same week we are (August 17-22) and staying in a hotel across the street on Harbor who isn't using his/her parking spot? We might have an extra car in our group and I know DI&S only allows one car per room (we already asked when we made the reservation). I just thought if someone else wasn't using a spot at a nearby hotel, you might let us pay for it and use it at a nearby locale. (Of course, this is all hypothetical, we might all end up in the same car anyway).
Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort.
We are quite pleased to know that you will be sharing a very special
moment in your life with us here at the DISNEYLAND® Resort. The
institution of marriage is a glorious and beautiful union, which we
cherish and celebrate here.
Choose from any of our suggestions below or use it as a guide to create
your own special ideas to pop the big question:
Many Guests propose to their heart's love while at the DISNEYLAND®
Resort. Often times, our Guests find Fantasyland to be the perfect
location. Snow White Grotto to the east of Sleeping Beauty Castle is a
popular spot. Also in Fantasyland, it may be fun to ask for a hand in
marriage while riding King Arthur Carrousel or "it's a small world."
On the west side of the park, you may choose to pop the question during
a romantic dining experience at the Blue Bayou Restaurant* or while
plunging down the flume at Splash Mountain!
You may also wish to share your special moment with your loved one's
favorite character. Our world famous characters can be found at
locations throughout the park. These locations are noted in our
DISNEYLAND® Park Guide and Entertainment Times Guide upon entering, as
well as inside City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. and the Guest Relations
Lobby inside DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE® Park.
DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE® Park also offers several locations which
would be perfect for such a momentous occasion. The Vineyard Room* at
the Golden Vine Winery is a charming place to propose over a delicious
meal. There is also Avalon Cove with its view of Paradise Bay and the
Animation Courtyard where you are surrounded by scenes from some of
Disney's most popular animated films.
If you want to add an extra thrill to your proposal, you may wish to pop
the question on Grizzly River Run or while you are Soarin' Over
California.
Our Hotels of the DISNEYLAND® Resort and DOWNTOWN DISNEY® District also
have romantic restaurants* and lovely spots suitable for such a special
occasion. You may wish to visit the Napa Rose at DISNEY'S GRAND
CALIFORNIAN HOTEL® & Spa, or Steakhouse 55 or Goofy's Kitchen at the
DISNEYLAND® Hotel. The DOWNTOWN DISNEY® District offers many themed
restaurants such as the ESPN Zone and House of Blues.
* Reservations can be made at most restaurant locations up to 60 days in
advance. Please call Disney Dining at (714) 781-3463 for information and
reservations.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the
opportunity to visit the DISNEYLAND® Resort soon and trust your visit
will be pleasant in all regards.
Our flights on Southwest went up a tiny bit in price ($3/ticket) so I took that as a sign to get off my duff and book the tickets NOW!
All that I have left to do is book a hotel in Seattle with park and fly and I am done!
Now, to get through the long 4 month wait...
Since you're taking the Coho, you could book a "vacation package" through them, but I don't think they have many hotel partners to choose from. I like Holiday Inn express and you can often get a good % back from ebates.ca. I've stayed at the one in Richmond next to Costco, but not in Seattle. They had a nice, free breakfast and a shuttle that ran every 30 mins to and from the airport.
Her Tikki223 - my two DD's and I are doing DDD too! Have you done this race before? Where will you be staying?
I haven't done this race before; have you? We did the Glass Slipper Challenge over the Princess Half Weekend at WDW in February - DDD is the 2nd half of our Coast-to-Coast.
