I have a pink skirt sports running skirt (the running skirt one did not fit my body correctly). My advice is to find a store near you that carries the brand you are looking for and try it on to make sure you like it. I went to REI and tried on a skirt sports one. Then I ordered the pink one online because the store didn't carry that color.
I also bought the pink "princesses don't sweat" tank at the Princess Expo and have worn that for several races. Everyone loves that shirt!
One more thing- I bought a pink tutu at a craft fair and wore that one over my running skirt. I tested my outfit out on a treadmill for 5 miles to make sure it didn't bother me.
It's a lot of fun planning you outfit for these Disney runs!
I'm doing the Disneyland 1/2 in Sept. And I can't wait!

I am having heel problems on my right foot. I have been to several doctors, deep tissue massage therapist, stretched, ice, worn a boot, no boot, rest, tape, and read eveyrthing I can to relieve the pain.

Have you looked into active release technique (ART) therapy. I had a nagging foot/achilles problem that responded to nothing, (seriously I tried so many things I felt like I was waging a war!) but have had good luck with ART.

So excited to be joining you guys on this thread!! I am now registered to run and am scared to death! LOL!! I haven't ran since high school, so I have a lot of training to catch up on. I am running with a good friend of mine and really looking forward to it.

I even bought a running set to wear and how silly that it makes me even more excited to run! LOL!!

Here is what I bought.

I will be checking in with you frequently to get helpful tips on making this easier. I am so clueless.

I have that skirt, and got the same shirt at the expo this year (although I should have tried it on at the expo because I got the wrong size and had to return it when I got home:sad2:) The princess skirts used to be on the website, although I don't think they are on there anymore since they changed to a new site. You could probably call and order one over the phone, they come in the pink above, and yellow (like snow white or belle's dress) and Cinderella colored blue. I know the princess shirts are sold exclusively at Disney expos.

I contacted (via email) the runningskirt folks about the super cute Princesses Don't Sweat, They Sparkle shirts. Christy got back to me rather quickly and said that she thought they have some in stock and that she would check the warehouse to see if they have my size. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she finds one for me!!

So brightvalleyjrts and TMcDwyer, if you are intersted in the skirt and/or shirt, I would call or email the company. I can't remember the return policy off hand, so you may want to check the website. The skirt looks like it either has very short shorts underneath or possibley even briefs...which won't work for me. The shirt, however, I can make work! :thumbsup2

Are they exclusively at the Princess expo or will they be at the Wine and Dine one as well?

I will be great if I can pick up some Princess training things at the Wine and Dine Expo. I am doing the Halloween 5K and really want to do the Princess Half, even though I haven't registered yet. :thumbsup2

Are you planning to run the whole thing? I just started Jeff Galloway's plan. I finished C25K and then did one week of Galloway before I had to go to the Zumba Instructor Convention. I may just start Galloway's plan again since I have plenty of time. It is so hot here that I am going to start with 1:1 intervals for now. When it gets a little cooler, I may increase to 2:1 or even 3:1. I want to start the training and make sure I can really do this before I register. I'm scared to death too! :rotfl:

Probably not. ;) I am running with about six other women and my motto is that I am not worried about getting a good time, I just want to HAVE A GREAT TIME! We plan to stop for pictures with the characters and all that good stuff. I am about to start week 5 of the C25K and then I plan to move on the B210K and then a Galloway plan. princess:

I am planning on stopping for pictures as well, but I want to make sure I can do it and not get "swept". :rotfl:

Last year Running skirts had the princess skirts at the wine and dine expo, and they were 50% off. I don't know if that will be the case again this year, but I'm kicking myself now for not getting each of the colors at that price. They only had a few of the princess shirts at the wine and dine expo. There was a short sleeve option and the sleeveless option. I did return a medium in the white tank to RS, so they might still have it in their warehouse since it's not a website item.

Thanks! I'll give them a call. The skirt has briefs underneath it.

This is me too!! I am so scared of being swept. I am in fairly good shape, but haven't ran in so long. I know I have plenty of time to train, but still it scares me. LOL!! I am starting C25K this week, and will figure out my next plan from there. LOL! I don't intend to run the whole thing. I just want to finish and not be last. LOL!

This looks interesting. Do you mind if I ask how much it costs?

Hi TmcDwyer, in my experience, ART is done by a sports med doc/chiropractor. I went to see a chiro earlier this year, b/c of a knee injury I never took care of from years ago. Check with your healthcare benefits plan to see if ART is covered - in my case, the total billing for a visit to see this doc was $155 or something ridiculous like that, but I end up paying only $6.50 out of pocket. I started out seeing him once a week, then bi-weekly, now I just go in for a 'tune up' if I feel I need it.

ART has worked wonders for me. The doc has me back up and running and training for a marathon now. There was no way I could have gotten to this point without it.
