Official 2012 Princess 1/2 marathon thread part 2

The D & B bags were gone by 11 when I got there.. Sad cause I was 99% sure I'd get one.. But I did get both pins (amazed since they had called the one 'sold out') but overall I wasn't in love with the merch. If the jackets had been any other color but white and gray I'd have gotten one...

I was happy to see them have some DLR registrations there (wish they'd have the 2012 DLR medal..)

I am going crazy with the 'race retreat' wristband on already (which the guy insisted he had to put on vs giving it to me like the others were.) as I hate those bands... Sigh

Is it time to run yet?!?

Sorry about the bags ladies. Seems there maybe some greedy eBay princesses.
I saw the DL half and was very surprised they re registering people.
Missed the meet....had a very mixed up good day.
MK was great last night. We got there at 6pm and left at 11 am and did all we wanted. Rode splash twice without getting off and they offered us a third time.
I heard a few 5k princesses off to the race this morning.

Had an awesome Keys to the Kingdom tour in MK yesterday, then DH and I headed to the Expo! It was pretty overwhelming, but we had fun. I got 2 shirts and a decal for my car (the mouse ears race sticker should go well with my Mouseketeer family). I even got pixie dusted. I am so excited, a bit nervous for the wake up time and hoping I am properly fueled. I bought an extra gel and plan to do that at mile 5, then the fuel station one at mile 10.

Today we are doing a relaxing day at Epcot, then carbo load dinner tonight at Il Mulino! Tomorrow I can't wait to slip on that I Did It shirt!

I'm sad to hear about the DB bags, but I am hopeful that there may be some DL 1/2 spots left today. Although I specifically emailed them and asked if there would be any available and they said no, so now I'm not ready to rush down there today. If anyone knows if there are still spots this AM, please let me know.

Gretchen, thanks for posting the photo from the meet! DD and I hadn't had dinner when we arrived at GF a little before 7, so we took a long shot and asked at 1900PF whether they'd take us as a walk-in. And they did!!! So we went in to dinner before most of you go there. It was great to meet Gretchen and Mo, though, and I'll look forward to seeing Mo in Corral E. I'll have a big container of glow bracelets that I'll be sharing, so say hi!

I have a request for anyone staying at POFQ who might have family going to the finish. My DD9 will have a sitter, but the sitter is not allowed to take her off the hotel property without being accompanied by a responsible adult. If your spectators would be willing to come by our room (RIGHT by the buses) and allow my DD and the sitter to tag along with you to the finish line (or wherever you're cheering from), we'd be really grateful. She's accepted that she probably won't be able to see me finish, but she really wants to, and I promised I'd make one last try!

We attended the Expo yesterday and got there at opening time. My daughter and I liked the shirts and bought several. I also purchased a DB cross body bag. I did see several people with their arms full of bags, so perhaps EBay will be busy. Too bad they do not limit the Princesses...too many were greedy. The weather is perfect at the moment and after a nice day at Epcot, we are resting prior to an early dinner and early bedtime.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow. I'm wearing my green Wish shirt and my daughter will be in a solid purple shirt.

Having a blast at Magic Kingdom! So far this has been one of my best vacations yet! Possibility of me returning next year again for this race. And possibly a trip for the TOT ten miler!

I'm totally kicking myself today for not getting a visor at the expo. I even tried a couple on, but I kept telling myself that I didn't need it. Now the weather channel is calling for a 50% chance of showers I'm going to find one at the gift shop, but hopefully won't need it tomorrow. Praying for the showers to hold off, at least until 10ish!

Great expo with fantastic talks from Jeff and Donna! Got there at opening, and left as they closed.

Only 7 hours until the bus! Then it's a short time until I kiss my wife goodbye, and she goes up to corral C, and leaves me in F. This race will be the longest that we have ever been apart in WDW.

Sorry we missed the meet! We were at the Pasta in the Park party. Carbo... loaded...

I have to try to exchange my race shirt if they have spares, so back to the expo tomorrow. Which means I'll probably buy that Spibelt I had my eye on. The sacrifices we make.

I just hope that the gals in my corral on Sunday aren't as pushy and rude as some of the not-so-princessy expo-goers I encountered today. Some folks came up short on the Pixie Dust ration.

Tabetha, was your I Did It shirt printed badly too, mine is way off centre, I am thinking to check to see if an exchange is possible too, I should have checked it at the expo.

I'm laying in bed trying to get sleepy. We ended up going back to the expo right before they closed so I could get a running visor. It was amazing how wiped out the booths were compared to yesterday. You'd think 15,000 women with money to burn had been there
