My tutu is done!!!

Love it! Great job :good vibes

Ran today after not running in a while. Did 7.75 miles but they went very slowly. I felt like I had more in me but I had time constraints. Can't believe the race is so close. I'm excited but nervous too! Longest run I've done was 10 miles but that was pre-pregnancy and since then I've stuck around 8 miles. Hopefully if I need to I'll just walk till the end but I feel like I'll be able to keep my pace....of slow and steady. :rotfl:

I am counting on Disney Magic to get me across the finish line.

Taryn,

I love your outfit, but keep in mind that if it is a hot day,you might want a short sleeve shirt and possibly bike shorts only under your adorable skirt. Last year the race day was warm, and once the sun came up it got hot quickly. The early corrals avoid this somewhat, but not the later ones.

Happy running!
Pam

Start out much more slowly than you would normally run to save your strength for the end. Walk early and often, then you can run it in to the finish!

You'll do great!

You will be fine! I have not been very consistent with my running either, much to my disspointment in myself. I have never ran more than 10 miles in preparation for any of the three 1/2's I have done and I have always made it. :)

I RAN MY FIRST 1/2 MARATHON YESTERDAY!!!! It was FREEZING here. Below 20 for the whole race, but I loved it. I finished in 2:41:15 and there was one mile that was completely up hill...gotta admit I walked a lot on that one! I am so proud of myself and now I am even more excited for the Princess!!!

LOVE IT!!!!

FABULOUS!!!

I am wearing them too. A friend wore them for the Donald last year and had no problems with them staying on so I am hoping the same is true for me!

:cheer2::cheer2: Congrats!!

It looks fab!! I really need to work on mine!

It would be awesome to be in that meet up..but I won't get my hopes up! :)

What makes someone a qualified runner to apply? I had only even heard of this after the Tinker Bell.

ITA! So far the weather is looking a lot like last year too.

How far along are you? I have seen you mentioning being pg but I must have missed when you announced it.

I am sure you will be just fine. A lot of training programs only do 10 miles before the race.

I have not been training as much as I wish I was either. I did 13 miles twice before the Tinker Bell and had planne don doing 10 on Sat but I came down with a cold and skipped it. I am just hoping doing 13 miles 3 times in a month and half will carry me through.

Ran 5.8 in 1:20 with hubby today. First 3 was ok, coming back was a literal uphill battle. He gets annoyed when I try to do run/walk intervals so a straight run was killing me.

I am staying at POR and planning on taking the bus. I am running with a friend and I think that going on the bus will make us both feel better. Neither of us will sleep well the night before, so it's pretend to sleep until 2:30 or pretend to sleep until 3:30, not much of a difference for us.

I love the "pretend sleep". You "pretend sleepers" should get together and have a "pretend sleepover"

I always fear oversleeping and so I set several alarms.

Yeah I'm not the only one staying at POR here thats taking the bus!!!! And I know all about pretend sleeping, hopefully a day Blizzard Beach :beach: (praying for good weather here, wanted to go last trip but troublesome ear prevented me from going in any water) will ware me out enough so I won't have a bout of insomnia.

:cheer2: Congrats! You finished it better than I would have even in good weather (meaning not cold)!

:lmao: I am sooo not a pretend sleeper. I have not had any trouble sleeping the night before a race, but generally speaking I don't sleep a whole bunch anyway so I pass out for a good 4 to 5 hours and then it's time to get up and ready for the race, that is how much sleep I get at home so I need that 4 or 5 hours.

You will have plenty of company on the bus, I promise. I still haven't decided what I am going to do. It will probably depend on where my room is and what the bus stop looks like in the morning, and if my mom and dd#1 are coming with me or following later.

Last year the lines for the bus were out of control at about 3:45. The worst was the one at the front of the resort. It was backed up to the lobby entrance!!

I'm feeling kind of bummed about my costume. I got a yellow sparkle skirt and was planning to be Belle, but I can't for the life of me find a yellow shirt that goes decently with it, much less a technical shirt! All the technical yellow ones are like neon, and the non-technical ones I've found just look weird. So I think I might be some kind of modified Snow White instead and just wear a blue shirt I have with the yellow skirt, probably with black capris under it. I won't have the best costume, oh well!

Have you tried Pennys?

They have some others that aren't neon yellow I believe.

Youch I'll have to keep that in mind race morning. My dad booked me a room in the front area so I'll be catching a bus from the main bus stop. I'm planning to catch the 3:30 bus.

I know exactly how you feel! Do you think you have enough time left to possibly order something off Ebay?

I was planning on constructing my own white skirt, but that project failed miserably when I purchased fabric that wasn't stretchy--even though my skirt is. There was no way for me to attach it that wouldn't rip the seams. So, in last minute fashion, I hopped on Ebay (what I should have done to begin with...) and found a skirt. I leave on Friday, so I'm hoping it comes in time! Maybe you have time left to order something?
