Congrats on your 9.5! I was hoping to get mine in today, but at 1/4 mile my daughter called on my cell phone saying my autistic son was having a meltdown, so I needed to come home. I'm just glad it didn't happen at my turnaround point, which has happened before. Holidays can be hard for ASD kids, so I'm going to wait to do my 9.5 until he's back at school on Tuesday. I'm going to take the kids for a hike instead.
I feel like I'm always stealing running time from something--I usually do my long runs when his staff are here for 5 hours on Sundays, but they've been off the last two weekends for the holidays so I'm totally off. I'm back to work Tuesday, so I guess I'll be stealing my running time from work this week.
Next weekend I hope I can get back on track. These early sunsets and late sunrises don't help. Not feeling like a good start to the New Year--I could use a pep talk if anyone's got one to spare.
