Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

I didn't see anyone taking pics with individual dwarfs, I'm not sure they would do that. Maybe someone else knows?

They might but you'd still need to wait in the same line so I fail to see
How it would save time

When you get your picture taken with the characters, is it your own camera or Photopass? or both?

Thanks!

This is GREAT news! We are planning to go to the party on Friday 10/21. I haven't bought our tix yet, but am hoping to have the $$$$ to do so sometime in September.

I am starting to actually consider buying our tix for the 21st and be done with it but not for a while yet. I was looking over our schedule for the other evenings and 10/20 will not due since DH wants to see the "eat to the beat" with members of ELO and the only other night they are there is the 21st which I want to avoid since it is a Fri night, and Sunday the 23rd would be ok except I have to reschedule Biergarten which is a must do for DH and I.

Waiting on booking the Dessert Party in any case, since we really want to do that for the first time and if I can not get my first choice for the Dessert Party I might have to change things around in my schedule anyhow. :headache:

You can do both or just your camera. If you don't want the special magic shots (hitchhiking ghosts and hurse/carrage in front of HM) then your own camera will do. If you don't want to do a photopass CD, you can just purchase a photo of these special shots.

I DO want to do Photopass, just wasn't sure it was offered. Now to find my old bookmark for the pre-buy site!

You can still pre-buy it for cheaper, right?

Last year my best friend went as a orange Halloween Vinylmation and I went as Alice....No idea how she's going to top it this year lol Anyone have any ideas?

OMG we totally saw you guys last year!!! We were Santa Jack and Sally and got pics with you guys right outside of Tomorrowland Speedway!! You are totally up on my facebook pics!!! LOVED your costume! It was the best we saw in 3 parties last year, and the 2 the year before!!! What days are you going this year?? You should totally rock that outfit again, it was AWESOME!

I like the Indiana jones Idea,I never even thought of useing a Disney chacter:cool1:. what I remeber from two yeras ago there was not a heck alot of choclat:sad2:we love choclat:cool1:. M&M's reeses.

Whoops this was meant to reply to the one you were replying to. Maybe she'll see it! We go as Jack and Sally every year, I know, we are boring never coming up with something new. BUT, I LOVE going as Characters, you kinda feel like a Disney person... granted, don't go around saying you are a character or they won't like that. We have little kids ask us for pictures, and we just tell them sure, but we make sure we tell their parents we are NOT official disney characters. I mean come on, what are you suppose to say, nope sorry... You look like a jerk! LOL

I'm not sure about your specific question... BUT you do get a discount on photopass pictures from MNSSHP if you buy them the night you are there. It's 40% off, so it's a pretty good deal!

HERE is the linkfor the prepurchase deal. Photos taken that night can go on your photopass account as usual. The 40% that the pp mentioned is good for prints only.

We were there during that heat wave, too! it was MISERABLE!

I'm hoping it will be better this year :goodvibes I'll be it, it's 94 in Olrando today, but it's August. Here in Destin, Fl it's been nice considering it's the middle of summer (kind of). I'm hoping for mid-80's this October, like 81 ;) mid-day.

I was wondering, when the MK park hours say 9-7pm (for Oct. 31st) does this include the Halloween party? Or is this only regular park hours?

Because this party is a surprise, I was also wondering if I can pick up all the bracelets at the kiosk and then hand them out to my group, or does everyone have to come with me to pick them up? We'll be in the park all day long.
Thanks so much!!!:goodvibes

The party runs from 7 to midnight. Guest without tickets are directed to exit the park by 7pm is when they start checking for braclets.

I would march right up to any bracelet booth (I remember 1 in tomorrowland) on the day of and SURPRISE everyone right there when you whip out the tickets to the party!

Does anyone know if photopass does anythign special for the party? Example: you can normally get shots with your kid holding Simba or Tinkerbell, or Tinkerbelle wings etc... just wondering if they have something special.

Check out the pic in post #962. The ghost carriage is a great magic shot.

There is also this one (I don't remember if I posted this already or not), it was near the entrance to the Liberty Belle, the border is a photopass border:

Next month starts MNSSHP!! I can't wait to see some pictures from this years event. Maybe it will pass the days while I my wait until 10/18! We ordered our costumes today. We were going to be crayons, but my attempt to make them didn't work, DH didn't want to "wear a dress" (it was a tunic), and the ones online looked cumbersome. So, we are going as Mario (DH), Luigi (DS2), and Princess Peach (me). I wanted to do non-Disney costumes, but I like that I can still be a princess!

I'm going to go back and re-read the thread, but if anyone has any helpful hints/don't miss/advice/etc. for a MNSSHP first timer, feel free to speak up!

Our first MNSSHP! Three little girls don't know yet! Very excited! We will be there from Oct 19-24th. What day would be the best to go? Thursday? Friday? Or Sunday? Would Friday be the most crowded?

Thanks much!

I'm wondering the same thing, except our dates are the Oct 21 - 26th. I've been thinking the Sunday party, but after reading a few other threads a party on that Friday two years ago is saying it was less busy than the Sunday party. :confused3 So maybe I'll do the Friday part on the 21st. Or maybe I should wait until Tuesday, Oct 25th. Oh, decisions, decisions.

I read a post that stated the non-discounted party nights can tend to be less busy, I plan on taking my chances with the party on the 21st.
