Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

As long as you have a valid AP when you pick up your tickets, you are eligible for the AP rate. AP tickets must be picked up at Will Call, but you can do that at any time up to the time of the party. I saw that your vacation starts on 9/14, so you could even go that day to get your tickets. I know this works because I've done it before with MVMCP tickets. I ordered online at the AP rate which expired two days before the party, but picked the tickets up 5 days before. There were no issues whatsoever because my AP was valid when I bought and picked up the tickets.

Enjoy!

Thank you! I just didn't want to have a problem.

Does anyone know what time the League will close on Party nights? When I called they told me the last ressie was at 3:30?!?!?!?

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

We plan on going to the party on October 18, I am going as Anastasia and my DD is going as Drizella. Have ressies for Pirates League on the 21st for me and DD.

Need help with a dining plan for the night of the Halloween Party......

We will be arrive from a Disney cruise the same day as the party, checking in at the COMP resort. I did not want to spend any of my park time (4-12pm) eating. So where would be a good place to eat before we head to the party??

Did you mean Cont resort? How about Chef MIckey's? Or another monorail resort restaurant like Ohana or 1900 Park Fare.

I'm eating at Tony's before. I like to be in the park.

Has anyone ever attended the party on the day after Halloween? The Nov 1 party? What are the crowds like? I'm also looking at the party dates during the week of Oct 8 to the 15th, what would the crowds be like then? I'm still planing things out so any info would be helpful.

We attended the Nov. 1 party last year and it did sell out - we arrived in the park at 4pm and they we're repeatedly making announcements that the party was sold out. However...we really didn't think it felt 'sold out' at all. We walked on to rides all night, waited (but not a horrible amount of time) in line for the dwarves and the carriage, trick-or-treated at the end with minimal lines...

I've been reading that even when the Nov 1st party is sold out it doesn't seem that way to those who attended.
I was wondering, when Oct 31st is "sold out", does it "seem/feel/look" sold out?
(was that confusing?:lmao:)

If you're doing many rides, then any party is not likely to feel sold out. The majority of people have set up camp on Main Street to see the parade, fireworks and shows. THAT is where you feel it.

Yes the Cont resory.....sorry! I did think about Chef Mickeys but we are having breakfast the next morning. We currently have ressies for Liberty Tree, just thought it would waste good party time. I was also thing the wave maybe for a late lunch.

:lmao:we are actually doing the party twice:cool1:,the frist party we are eating(around 6/7) eatting at Pecos Bill. The second party we are actually eatting at cali grill at about 9:15. Not everyone eats in the park and or before

From what I've read they aren't planning on staying open any later... yet. I guess people complained about any waits that occurred because they were missing party time and since they can't guarantee you won't have a wait it is easier to say they won't be open. :confused3

Here's the thread that keeps me up to date on PL.

I am thinking of going to my first ever MNSSHP on September 23. If I plan on being at MK all day when do I get a wristband? Is it at beginning of the day, or right before the party starts?

I don't think they start handing out the wrist bands till later in the day. I would say 4?

I am sure this question has been asked somewhere here, so I apologize. I did read the first few pages of this thread and the *tickets* sticky...:surfweb:

We have base tickets and plan on attending the MNSSHP. - :goodvibes
Does attending the party use our Park ticket for the day or is it seperate? In other words, without the PH, can we go to Epcot in the morning, then use the Halloween Party tickets for MK that night? TIA. :flower3:

That's correct..CURRENTLY, they close at 4 PM-ish.

However...last August they posted extended hours for PL for party nights. They haven't done that yet, but there are a group of us hoping they do the same thing this year.

Keep an eye on this thread, and the Official PL thread...I'm sure IF they offer extended hours, it'll be posted in one (or both) of these threads.

Your party ticket will get you admission to MK AFTER 4 PM (at least, it has in the past...Disney could always change that policy).

If you enter the park BEFORE 4 PM...you have to use a park ticket, and then you can use your MNSSHP ticket to get your wrist band (again, after 4 PM) inside the park.

Excellent. Thank you for the quick response. :)
I think we will plan on going to a different Park in the morning and then wait to enter MK after 4:00 and just use our MNSSHP tickets.

We are planning to go Sept 30. What is considered advanced tickets sales? Do we get the discount if we buy a few days before?

Yes there is discount if you buy it before the day of the event. I think it's usually a $6 difference between advance purchase and the day of purchase.

Also remember that the event could "sell out" because Disney only sells so many tickets for that event.

Can't agree with you more. I noticed this at both MNSSHP's that we did Sept 2010 as well as the MVMCP in Dec 07. We walked around the parks and trick or treated, rode attractions w/ pretty much no wait, got pics w/ characters w/ little wait etc. No problems at all, BUT once you hit the Main street area...watch out:scared1:. You are absolutely correct when you say people set up camp on Main street. They definitely do and don't move from there either.
