Yea for C2C...DH and I are also doing C2C this year. WDW half marathon was our 1st half...and we are heading to DL in Sept. Registered for the race, have the hotel booked, now just waiting for airfare from Orlando to reach a level I will book it at...hope Southwest releases fares soon!

Are there any suite-type hotels within walking distance to the start line? We stayed at a Residence Inn last year that was part of the good neighbor hotel transportation for the race but they aren't listed this year.

I am thinking of doing this but don't want to sign up until after the princess, but I see it is already 58% full. :scared1: Does anyone know how long it takes to completely sell out?

Usually not until June or July. I think the number jumped up for registration over the weekend b/c they are doing the graduated prices for reg depending on when you do it. I'd just watch the % over the next couple of months. You shouldn't have any problems in waiting until the end of the month.

Good luck in the princess!!

My sister, running partners and I are going to be staying at Portofino Inn and Suites. We got a 2 bedroom suite there for just slightly more than they could have gotten us a studio somewhere on property with their CM discounts...and we'll have a TON more space!

Yeah, since Sunday was the last day to pay $125, I think a lot of people jumped on that. Now it's at $135 until April 10 and then jumps up to $145 - so I expect the next big jump to be around April 10.

I am going to see if they are offering any form of incentive at the expo for the Princess, I had intended to sign up over marathon weekend, but got tied up.

At the WDW marathon expo weekend it was $10 off plus no active.com registration fee...so about a $20 discount. DH and I ran the half (our 1st), but signed up for DL half after the expo...we had to make sure we could get the time off, and make sure our DD has a place to stay when we are in CA (school in session in FL already), to do the C2C this year. I would suspect there will be a jump from the Princess half expo.

***adding info...they may have thrown in the $10 savings from registering prior to Feb 6th to make it sound like a $20 discount.

Really? All I got was the no active.com fee. It was still the $125 it would have been on the website anyway with the graduated pricing for me. Just no fee.

When I asked the runDisney folks, I was only offered the waived active.com fee as well.

I just signed up today, I got my whole trip setup, except the park tickets which I will get later. I am set for coast to coast after completing the disney half, and doing the princess half. Then I will finish off the year with wine and dine, so I'm trying to get all the weekends this year.

I haven't registered yet, but I hope to do this race this year and finally get my Coast to Coast.

I haven't Signed up but according to the web site. The Half Marathon is 58% full and the 5K is 50% full. The early discounts seem to be working.

Wow, already over half full? I may have to rethink my strategy of waiting a bit. Oh well...I'll sign up as soon as I get home from WDW in 2 weeks. I should be safe there.

I seriously doubt that this race will fill up any faster than the previous ones. Even last year, during an anniversary the race didn't fill up until right before. I think a lot of people took advantage of the tiered pricing which is why the numbers are up there and maybe Disney took some advice from this forum about skewing their numbers a bit.

I'm going to take my chances and wait til the Princess expo to see if I can get any bonus for signing up. I'll keep my eyes on the registration level though and if it jumps dramtically, I'll get signed up.
