Offical free dining watch 2008

Is Wilderness Lodge part of the free dining? Or only certain resorts offer it and Wilderness Lodge isn't one of them? I remember back in 2006 when we did the free dining we ended up chosing the Contemporary as our resort. Wilderness Lodge was never available.

If you book Wilderness Lodge on the computer, then call and ask them to change your reservation to the free dining code, would you still be able to keep your reservation at Wilderness Lodge?

We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in 2006 with free dining.

I can't imagine it being blacked out. It may be very difficult to get as it is a very small resort compared to the rest of them. Less rooms, less discounted rooms available, high demand equals hard to get.

I don't know if we know for sure yet if a code can be applied or if we have to make a whole new reservation. Hope to find that out tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with Disney Visa. She said yes it will start tomorrow (actually, she agreed when I said I knew it would start tomorrow) but that I would have to call Disney to get the details.

Did she tell you the dates it would be offered?

No one really knows at this time. That thought came from the fact that the people in the UK had to book moderate or higher, but some say that was the UK travel agents doing, not Disney's. Plus people who booked the bounce back program while at WDW last Sept were able to get the Values, so who knows?:confused3

Considering that it appeared to be SEVERAL UK TAs I think it was Disney's doing.....

Can we just say, "I'm a DV card holder and I'd like to book a MYW package with FD, please." and that will be OK?

I'm sure you're right in that they won't volunteer the FD: we had a vaca during this time in '06 but didn't know about FD and so didn't get it. :(

Just call. They do know the code. Yes, last year the first couple of people posted the code for all the rest but the CM's know the code. Don't NOT call because you don't see the code. It is better to call and get through than wait around for an email. Trust me, if the code exists, you'll know. Last year, I just called and said I'd like free dining. This is my 3rd free dining go around.

No, she was trying to act like she didn't know about it...after she slipped up and agreed that tomorrow it starts. :rotfl2:

Thanks! That is really good news. I think I will go with that plan and keep my eye on the boards in case I have to stall the CM (I really hope I don't get a difficult one). One would think they'd just want to get on with it and get credit for the reservation. "One down, 4 million to go today." Right? I hope those CMs have a lot of coffee (in their refillable mugs of course) ready for this week! :surfweb:

ONLY 12 MORE HOURS...:yay:

Hey mybabesuz!! What a surprise to see your name on the boards!! I see that you are definitely going to WDW. I am considering it! I will be calling tomorrow to see how much a trip would be! I wish the dates for FD were a little longer. I would love to go at the beginning of Oct.

what is bounce back dinning and how do you get it, sorry if it was asked before but would like to know?

I have not received my email with the FD promo code as of yet.:surfweb: Has anyone with a Disney Visa received it?:confused3 I am REALLY beginning to wonder if this is not happening tomorrow.:scared: Is anyone else a little skeptical?:headache:

People who were there last year during the same time were offered the opportunity to book for this year with free dining as well while they were at the resort last year.

Last year I didn't get an email with the code until a couple of days after it started.

Last year the email did not come out until the evening that it was being offered. Don't look for an email, just call. This is exactly how it happened last year. Please relax. :flower3: If you have a Disney Visa, call early in the morning with your card. They will know the code and so will those of us on the board. :grouphug: for all getting up early tomorrow to get in line. Got to go to bed early.....:cloud9:

Ok, I already have ressies. What do you think my chances are at gettting free dining and still being able to stay @ all stars movies if I'm up and calling at 7 thursday?

I can almost guarantee you with 100% certainty the Deluxe Plan will not be free.....you can probably PAY for and upgrade TO the Deluxe Plan but free dining will only be the base plan.

I cant help you with the Family Suites as I am in the same situation as you are....tomorrow will tell.

No, ASMU FS have never been included in the free dining promotion. You can just call and check but be prepared to change resorts or change into 2 rooms. The Deluxe plan will not be free but with free dining you would pay about what the regular dining plan would cost or get the deluxe plan for about 1/2 off.

Yes ~ call in the morning and don't allways believe what a CM may tell you. What you get tomorrow is what you will get. As far as resort choice that will change alot over the next few weeks so if you don't get what you want in the morning then keep trying till you do, you never know!
