Offical FlashFoward Thread-Spoilers Possible

I don't mind the Q&A thing. I just enjoy the show. I learned a long time ago with Lost that not worrying about the significance of every little thing makes the show much more enjoyable.

For example the kangaroo is so irrelevant for me. I can't imagine that it'll have some amazing significance other than to illustrate how messed up the day of the blackout was. That day was SO messed up that there was even a kangaroo hopping down the street. Maybe a nod to Lost's polar bears ... this places is so out of the ordinary that you should expect the unexpected.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised at all the glowing reviews on this thread! I was very excited for this show, as we are HUGE LOST fans.

Unfotunately, I didn't really like it.

First of all, this show is trying to be LOST so bad, it isn't even funny. I mean the opening scene alone is pretty much the SAME opening scene of LOST.

Secondly, I do not like shows that treats it's audience like we're stupid. It was like they had to lay out everything we were already thinking. A few examples, when they were watching tv fromt he street and that guy had to say "It's the whole world!" Uhhh, yeah, I think we can figure that out on our own, thanks!

The other time I can think of right now was at the end with the clip of the man in the baseball stadium. She says all dramatically, "But who is? And why is he awake?" Like yeah, we got it, we know what to think!

Off the bat, I can only think of those two examples but I feel like that happened A LOT. So opposite of LOST where they say so little and you just have to sit and think about it for a week, trying to piece it all together.

I don't know, maybe they tried to do too much all in one episode. Remember, LOST started out SLOW and only gives us a little each week.

Well, just my opinion! I'm going to give it another try next week and see how I feel about it.

I'm still watching but it better improve... and fast. I agree that some of it is really lame. I'm still wondering if the Asian guy ends up being murdered then who does his fiance end up married to?

Depends on when the wedding is compared to the time of his murder.....

We're watching.... we consider it the best new broadcast network television series in the last couple of years.

Watch it and love it.....they even added a 3rd lost veteran to the show last week. I don't know that it is a show that can go on for a long time. IMO, there is nothing wrong with a show that only takes a season or 2 to tell the whole story. I hope it stays good and doesn't get dragged out to keep it going.

I also just heard it was officially picked up by ABC for a full season.

We gave it up. We watched the first episode and thought it was "ok" then we forgot to watch the 2nd and didn't care that we missed it. It definitely didn't live up to all the summer hype and none of us thought it was even in the same league as Lost. We're going to miss Lost........

Still watching. Seems to be moving along at a quick pace, which is what I was hoping for. That being said, I really hope that it has a set date of completion for the series. I really would not be happy to see it drag out a vision 6 months ahead into several years. But as long as we move at a quick pace then I'll keep tuning in.

Still watching!

I am really enjoying it so far! I never watched Lost but I am tempted to rent the series if it is a similar type show to FlashForward.
But I agree with others, I hope they don't drag it on forever.

Yes, do it! If you like FlashForward, you'll love Lost. ::yes::

I'm finding the show really interesting so far. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. And Dominic Monaghan (Charlie from Lost) comes on next week- can't wait!

I've never seen Lost either.

OK, of course my H decided to come in and talk to me during the last 3 minutes of tonight's show!!! To avoid a lot of spoilers, let me ask the question this way:

The phone call at the end - what did the other guy say right before the episode ended? If you don't want to post it on the board, you can just send me a PM.

Thanks!!!

Anybody watch last night? What did you think?

I did. I'm still torn about this show. I'm Lost obsessed but I don't think Flash Forward is giving me enough. It is frustrating because I want to like it.

I was confused most of the episode. I wasn't sure who people were, etc etc. I think they may have introduced too many characters and their story too quickly.

I didn't get how the President and the FBI LA director were friends (or frienemies as the case seems to be) and the whole 'other woman' thing seemed poorly edited to actually explain what had happened and why the Senator hated him.

But I'm intrigued enough to keep watching for a while longer.

I'm interested in the female FBI agents story especially in light of last night's ending.

Wow! did you read my mind? Well, I'm not Lost obsesssed, but otherwise you read my mind. But the ending did shock me a bit...

Warning - Spoliers from the 10/22 episode.

I was surprised by her attack. I get what happened with the guys in DC. I think her story is the most intreguing to me. I'm also interested in the babysitter's story with the drowning but that seems to be moving no where fast. Seems I like the supporting characters more than the centeral mystery which will likely leave me disappointed. Like what did the Dr who was going to commit suicide see?

I'm not overwhelmed with questions the way I get with Lost, which truthfully is a bad thing because it means I don't care all that much.

I can remember the 1st season of Lost combing the Fuselage for hints and theories and I don't feel compelled to do that with this show.

But then again, I do find it entertaining enough to keep on my DVR.
