Offical Code Watch For March 2007/april 2007 Easter

Hope to stay at PopCentury 3/22-3/25. Doing a sort of self-styled land and sea in conjunction with DCL cruise.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't buy the DDP if I use a discount code for room ressies, right? I need to pay rack rate in order to qualify for DDP? Or was that only during the free DDP promotion (which we are taking advantage of in a few weeks). Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If you're paying for the DDP you can absolutely use a discount for your room. When Disney offered free Dining, you could only use one discount, so you had to decide between free dining or a reduced room rate. For most people the free dining was a better deal than any room discount.

We're planning a trip March 16-23. :yay: We've never been at this "peak" season....what are the chances of some sort of discount (no AP, just a discount for us regular folks. ;) )

If you are staying at popcentury, you have to pay rack rate to get a package. If you want the Disney Dining package, you have to buy a 1 day basic ticket for disney dining for each member in your party.

I'm sort of bumbed out. I have to pay the price increase on the tickets, plus on the Disney Dining. I knew I wanted to go 2 years ago, i wish Disney would let you lock in your dates earlier. They must have enough of a demand that they don't need early reservations.

2007 AAA "room-only" discounts are now available for Walt Disney World resorts.

AAA and CAA Resort Hotel Discounts

American Automobile Association (AAA) and Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) members qualify for "room only" discounts almost year-round, though there are a limited number of rooms available for each date. You can generally save about 10-20% at the Disney resort hotels, depending on the season.
In general, the discounts run as follows:

  • During Value Season you can get up to 15% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 20% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
  • During Regular Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts and the Ft. Wilderness campsites.
  • During Peak Season you can usually get up to 10% off at the Disney Deluxe and Disney Vacation Club resorts, or 15% off at the Value and Moderate resorts.
  • The only time AAA/CAA discounts don't usually apply is Holiday Season (around Christmas).
You don't have to book AAA/CAA rates through the Auto Club. Room-only reservations with an AAA discount can be booked directly through the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or a travel agent who specializes in Disney travel. Just ask if there is an AAA or CAA discount for your dates and resort.
AAA/CAA rates for all of the following year are usually released in the summer. 2006 AAA/CAA "room only" discounts were released on June 30, 2005. 2007 AAA/CAA "room only" discounts were released on August 6, 2006.

Do you know if you can apply codes/rates to an existing reservation? The CM we booked w/told me that there will likely be blackout dates during my trip in April. But, I am still looking just in case.

yes, you book a new reservation, then cancel the old.....that way the system doesn't completely lose you while checking for availability at the new rates!!

Still hoping for early March AP code for WL...but booked today $199pn at Swan with AP code(there also was entertainment book rate too) So I thought that was a good rate. :thumbsup2

We are going March 2-10. I think we will stay at CB. Thinking of the Poly but it's hard to justify the price. should I book our room now and then if codes come out call back to get the discount if there is one?

1st Post and new to site. I am going April 7-13 and have already booked room at Shades of Green, but would like to stay at a Moderate Resort to get more of the Disney feel (i have a 2 girls, 4 years and 2 years). How do the discount codes work and is there a way to get the prices down to comporable levels to Shades of Green ($110/night)?? Trying to save as much money as possible so I can do more of the character meals (and the ever expensive Tea Party).

Modified my April 20-28 ressie to add AAA rate for our garden view Poly vacation. Now I guess its the llloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong wait until the late winter prospects of an AP code release for spring dates. :bored:

Subscribing..March 15-20, 2007...again :cheer2:

Just decided, so off to book AAA....hmmm...now to figure out WHERE?
