Offical Check-In List 10/30/04 "Magic"

Well, thats all for now, just praying and keeping an eye on the Hurricane, as we are right in the path they say it may come.
We are also right in its path if it does not change direction. It is Cat. 4 and building now and even though it's a few days out, we are making plans to leave the state (Where in FL is safe? LOL) if necessary. If this one does not turn elsewhere, it could end up being the worst this state has ever seen, and we have not yet completely recovered from the last one. So unless the course of Frances changes, I may not be on the DIS for awhile.

Best of luck to everyone in its path.

Good Morning Everyone:

Beautiful day here in NJ!!:sunny:

Teri: I know what you mean about info in the head!! Schedules for the kids activities are out. Three to keep track of!! The calendar is color coded.::yes::

I have so much information on what to do in these ports that I started a file, so that when DH walks into the computer room and needs to get on for work I can just shove it away.:hyper:

The suggestion about the banana boat ride was great. I think that's something Debbie's DS would love.

Ginger: Sounds like you have some great things in Ashley's candy jar!! I don't think there is a candy out there I don't like.:hyper: Well, maybe those new things like sour patches. Haven't meet a dessert that turns me off either!!::yes::

Toni: Talk about being a big chicken. I not crazy about water so this parasailing will be a big deal for me.:scared1:

I would love to try Maho or great bay in St Maarten, but not sure if I'll have the time. Would also like to shop a little.

My problem is that there is too much to do in St Thomas, but we're not there as long. I would love to do the sky tram. I already booked Godfreys Tours. He got a great write up on the main boards and I even PMed 4nana and she told me he was very reliable. Since I've never see the island I though the kids would like to see some of it. Coki beach is suppose to be great for snorkeling. so much to do so little time!!

Ginger: sounds like your veggies needed some of that compost!!::yes:: I think all the rain had something to do with this years crops.

Talk to you all later. I think we have to go and help my dad paint today.

Michelle

Shari: We'll be praying that it turns away from you. If you do go off, when you get back on let us know what we can do to help!!
Michelle

Good morning all.

Feeling a little frazzled here. According to the 8am tropical update, there is a GREAT possibility the storm will hit the treasure coast. THAT IS RIGHT WHERE I AM!!!!! So, I am not sure when I will post again, as I will be busy trying to prepare for the hurricane.

Tina: I've been to Maho beach in St. Martin, we stayed right there 11 years ago and loved it. It is really wild to be laying on the beach and having a plane fly right over you. It's also wild to watch the planes take off and see them go almost straight up to get over the mountain that is on the island. Even better, to be in the plane hoping you make it over the mountain.:p

Debbie: I will have my DD Ashley pm your daughter today.

Ginger: I do remember what time we went to the port last year, but if I tell you, then we will be racing again to see who gets there first.:wave2: Just kidding, it was 10 am. And yes, I wish there were rum filled snickers too. BTW: the oriental trading stuff came yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Dena

ooops, sorry for posting that twice. I had the baby in my arms and she was wiggling and fussing!

Dena::MinnieMo

Dena, what nonsense - my "niece" would never wriggle and fuss!

Seriously though, hun, you take great care and look after yourselves in the next few days. We are hoping it will turn away from you and any other Diser's who are affected. Thinking of you all and sending Pixie Dust from the UK.

By the way, will hurricane season be over when we cruise or could we be affected? (Just to cheer you all up!!).

Prayers for all in the path of the latest hurricane. Dh and I talk about moving to Florida all the time-- provided he gets a job down there first-- but the last two "big ones" give me serious pause. Of course, the next two areas on our dream list are coastal Georgia and coastal North Carolina. Maybe we should look inland...

Ginger, I don't think pixie dust helps with losing pounds, but I'll send some your way. It never helped me though.

I love to look at everyone's counters. We'll be WDW the week before, staying at VWL yah! Mom got her way for once! :bounce:

Take care and everyone in the path of the hurricane stay safe-

Julie

I am packing up some things today and will be driving north/northwest tomorrow morning, as far as necessary to get out of the potential path of Frances. No point in staying here because even if it isn't much worse than the last one, it would be a long aftermath without power and with lots of debris.

Like everyone here, I am hoping it doesn't hit FL at all, but I'd rather leave first thing in the morning than wait for a possible evacuation order.

Good luck to all . . .

Good luck to all in the path of the bad weather coming. I did hear you should back up the computer as one of the things to prepare for the hurricane.

Stay safe everyone in Frances path. Let's all pray she moves out to sea...

I just heard on the news that the storm is going to hit you all Saturday morning. That gives you plenty of time to pack, get in your cars and drive to my house. We are just 17 hours north of WDW. Take 95 north to Maryland get off at Rt 152 exit stay right go straight to the second red light yeild right on to rt. 40. go down to the hardware store ask they where Johnny Byrne lives go to his house and ask him where I live, he's a local plumbler very nice man, knows us will.
Now, if you leave tonight by 8 p.m. you could be here tomorrow around 3:30-4:00 p.m.(giving you a couple extra hours) just in time to go to the state fair with us. I hear they have Key Lime Pie on the stick this year, yummy:crazy:, I know there goes the diet.
Seriously, I know we are a little far away but our home is open to you.
Julie I was hoping it would work. WDW before the cruise, you go girl.

Dena, Doesn't matter who gets there first, but this year I'm taking one of your kids with me and it's not going to be Emily, sorry baby. I can't get my Ashley to stand in line to hold our place while I check in. We're going to be first in line this year, right.:Pinkbounc :bounce:
I think we can make those rum snickers, I have an injector thingie for meat, never used it. YET!!!

Teri, are you going to be at the Radisson Friday, if so I'll bring some guavaberry liquor and make coladas. I'll be packing a blender, gotta keep the onboard spending down.

Shari, I hope you have safe travels and hope your home is safe too.

Ginger- Yes I will be at The Radisson Friday night. I would LOVE to join you for guavaberry colada's. Please tell me what I can bring. :drinking1

Teri

Ginger: I had to read your post twice. you made me laugh!!!:hyper: Only 17 hrs. from WDW. Soooo, why does the plumber know you?? LOL

Didn't even get to the gym today. Don't know what I need. I start work again on Tuesday and don't think I'm looking forward to it. But, I must make some money for this trip. LOL

Watching the weather channel today, doesn't look good. Hope all is well with you Dena. What about the family reunion?

Julie: Is that 2 weeks off? that is GREAT!!!

See you all tomorrow!!

Michelle

I'll bring the good Skyy Vodka! We can mix that with just about anything and have a good time!:yo-yo:

I thought I'd jump on for a minute before I go to work. Looking to see if Dena or Shari emailed me for better directions.
O.K. Dena and Shari if your not coming up, then at least be safe and take care.

Laura sounds like we'll all need to bring "the dark sun glasses" for this cruise.:teeth:

Hey everyone. We are still here. We are getting everything from outside into the house and the garage and then guess where we are headed. DISNEY!!:Pinkbounc Where else would one go in a hurricane?

Thanks to everyone for their good thoughts and prayers. I am not too worried. Well, just a little:bitelip:

Ginger: Yes, you are more than welcome to "borrow one of my children to stand in line for you.:bored: BTW thank you for the invite to your home. I don't think I could manage for 17 hrs in the car with Emily. She can barely make it the 1 1/2 hrs to disney.:cutie:

Well, I got to get back to work. Talk to you soon.

Dena::MinnieMo

OH! thank you Dena for the loan of the kid:teeth:
