Well, I was certainly disapointed that LaToya was voted off...her amazing vocals and classy attitude will be missed! I can say, without a doubt, that she will be a star! Talent like that is rare, and the music industry knows it!

It's now hard to tell who will take this competition! None of the remaining three are my top picks, but if I had to pick one, I'd pick Diana.

We'll see.........

Hmm, first bashing John Stevens fans, and now saying that Jasmine deserved to get booed! I'm sorry but that is just so ridiculous and completely wrong. No matter how bad someone was, they don't deserve to get booed. I'd like to see you up there getting booed and see just how you feel about that, and then come back and say that you're glad she got booed.

She has every right to be there and in no way should be ashamed that she is still there. And good for her that she was smiling. The comments the judges made to her last night, ripping her apart, was wrong. She was crying last night, and it was nice to see her smiling again, I'm sure anyone else would be doing the same thing if they found out they were safe. There is no reason she should quit because she made it this far, and it wouldn't be fair to her or her fans.

As for Latoya leaving last night, yea it sucks, but I really think she'll be the one making the most money out of everyone. Last year, the number 2 contestant was more succesful than the winner, and this year the number 4 contestant will probably be more succesful than the top 3, considering Fantasia and Diana aren't very liked by many people.. Hopefully that will give AI a wakeup call and have them decide to change the voting system next season to either a maximum number of votes per phone line, or charging for every vote.

This isn't the Gong Show. Nobody deserved to be booed - I think it was more in support of LaToya, but Jasmine was the collateral damage. She's 17 - how was she supposed to react to all of those emotions?

I felt pretty bad when she was crying Tuesday night, and had a feeling she'd get a TON of sympathy votes.

LaToya will be fine. Think Tamyra. Think Clay. Think Kimberley Locke (just don't think Justin Guarini )

I hope so too!! I think that if AI implements a new voting system, we'll see some of the most deserving performers make it to the finals!

I was thinking one vote per computer?? That's easy to control isn't it? I know those without a computer would say it wasn't fair.

I have a feeling, though, that they won't change it. After 3 seasons, I just doubt it.

I think all the drama is funny, very funny. Paula crying, Randy all ticked off, Simon throwing his head down in disgust...cracked me up!

The booing....belongs on the Jerry Springer show....just mean.

I agree with the above Posters--all 5 of you! I just have a few things to say: GET OVER IT!! It will NOW be between Diana and Fantasia, and hopefully that will be IT!

You are right about that. But, still, it was absurd for Jasmine to be left in the show with LaToya gone. I also think the booing was uncalled for.

I thought that they said there was going to be one but, hey, what do I know?

And I thought that it was mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Simon was starting a new show similar to AI over in England this summer. Maybe it was just a joke.

Someone who attended the show last night said they announced during the break that auditions for AI4 will begin in August.

I think that this statement was the nail in LaToya's coffin. She is probably right, but maybe people thought she was too cocky and didn't deserve to win because they know she'll get a record deal anyways? Just an observation.

The show in England is called Pop Idol and it's what American idol is based on. I don't know if Simons still involved in it though.

Jasmine reacted fine. She's also done well in prior weeks, even Paula said "America won't hold this against you" on Tuesday night. Well, if that implied that America wouldn't vote her off, then who did Paula expect to see booted?!?

I felt bad for Jasmine too and put in at least a dozen votes for her.

There's a huge problem with the whole idea of "America Votes". Just look who we wound up with for president last time.

Anyway, there are two things they could do to improve voting on AI.

1) Make you vote against a person rather than for someone.

or

2) It would probably cost them too much to keep track of who called and from what number in order to limit the number of votes per household so instead make the voting number a 900 number with a small charge...maybe like 25 to 50 cents. I wouldnt' mind paying 50 cents per week to place my vote, but I certainly wouldn't be voting dozens of times for a person either.

Also, I'd get rid of the text messaging votes. They are nothing more than a commercial for AT&T.

Finally, I'm not sure if anything should happen with the voting times. I think part of the reason Jasmine gets so many votes is because Hawaii get's a 2 hour voting window five hours after the rest of the country which probably results in more votes being counted for Jasmine this time.

That's what I said Tuesday night. It was a dumb thing to say, and even Simon reacted to it when he was speaking to Fantasia (but really to Latoya) about not assuming the top four were fine, regardless of the votes.

Between that, the judges continually assuring her she was the best, and the fan base that seems to split votes between those two, and Jasmine's crying. . .

The judges need to learn to reign in both the high praise and the scathing criticism. Latoya fans were less worried about her departing, hence fewer votes, and Jasmine fans were hard-charging to send her their votes in response to the criticism.

Don't be so sure. If history has proved anything, nothing is for certain. It's still a popularity contest and Jasmine may pull in enough votes to beat out either of the other two. I'm not saying it's right, but that's the way the game is played.

I watched a couple episodes of the kid's version of AI last summer and I'm pretty sure that they said only 5 (or some small number) calls per household. I don't know if/how they enforced that, but I'm pretty sure that was the rule.

I believe that's FAME you're referring to. The kids AI had no limit.
